Well, this is the third time I've tried to read this, and I can say I wasn't disappointed. (I've been nearly as busy as you have, I suppose) "There is no Good or Evil, no Light or Dark, Order or Chaos. Just knowledge and your own ability to know when to stop. And if you knew when to stop, you'd never achieve the impossible."

I'm quite the broken record...

Niht, I thought you might like to know that story of mine is almost finished. As you are clearly an accomplished writer, I would love to get your opinion when you have the time.

That is all.

I do hope he hasn't given up on this series... "There is no Good or Evil, no Light or Dark, Order or Chaos. Just knowledge and your own ability to know when to stop. And if you knew when to stop, you'd never achieve the impossible."

I also hope he has not given up on the story. I also wonder if he never posted because he was waiting on me and then just gave up. If that's the case I've said before that I sometimes just read without posting. I still check every day for an add. I really want to see how this whole thing will play out. That's why I was quite disappointed when you decided to start over, because while the overall quality would indeed be improved we might not ever see the end result. Had you simply finished what you started I would have been quite happy. It was your choice though. Although from the times we used to get to talk to each other I wouldn't have figured you as someone who would give up on something.

I quite thank you for the last add. I quite enjoyed it even though I figured Orcris was about to die to be quite honest. If it is true that which does not kill you only makes you stronger then Orcris must have grown significantly more powerful ha. I look forward to the next bit and really do hope it comes soon. I can understand, however, that real life comes first: I do want to remind you though that you have real people reading this, fans who would be quite disappointed to never see it to the end.

Quit writing the story? What, of course not, I wasn't even thinking about it. (shifty eyes)

Okay, well, since you were still checking on this story after I hadn't posted in a month(+), I suppose I owe everyone an explanation....

I made this account 6-7 years ago, and have always been what I call a "lore-player" by which I mean my primary reason for playing RS has always been the storyline behind the game, not the game-mechanics/graphics(duh)/ or because I had friends in a clan (was never in a clan :P ) This caused me to play RS in spite of a large number of issues I saw cropping up, but eventually, a couple of major issues, plus a lot of minor issues, caused me to get to the point where, my love of the game's lore, and the time I had spent on my account, weren't enough to keep me playing, and thus, I quit (this was about 2 months ago.)

For those of you who are curious about the reasons for me quitting, I can post a long rant in the rants forum if you'd like. Or if you have another way to contact me do that, (I would consider giving out contact info for those of you who HAVE to be in touch with me, but I don't think Jagex would like it. I mean, really, I don't think that you knowing one of my 7 e-mails puts me in danger, but hey, their site, their rules) ;)

Anyway, I'm sure you're more eager to hear what I plan for the story.

The fact is, after I quit, I thought it over, and decided I'd probably stop writing the story (if you're having a heart-attack, read the last couple of paragraphs, then come back to this point... here, and set of unusual characters to catch your eyes when you're coming back: ##@#@#@#@#YOU WERE LOOKING AT THIS AREA#@#@#@#@## My reasons for doing this were manifold, but I'll list some main reasons: When I first started writing "Weapons" years ago, I had a general idea of where I wanted to go with it, and a vague concept of the plot. I took my sweet time getting there, and admittedly, experimented more with new ideas in my story than I probably should've. Many of the things found in the first WoD and it's sequels were added (in my head) part-way through. Among these were Seth, the elemental dragons/witches, and the Eastern Guthixian Empire (etc.)

The entire story was very ad hoc for me. As those few of you who read it remember, I could churn out 3 post adds almost every day, and most of the time, I had come up with the content of those posts within the last couple of days (sometimes within minutes of writing.)

Whereas this allowed my story to be very dynamic, it also resulted in a lot of chaos. I also spent a LOT of time fleshing out characters. It was only when I reached somewhere over 200 pages (12 pt font, and yes, it was that long) that I finally decided, "Hey, I need to get to the end of this" and started wrapping it up. (btw, this one is really long too, I kid you not, each add is generally 4-6 pages)

When I wrote the sequel to the orignal WoD, (World in Darkness) I added even more ideas, without actually getting closer to the where I wanted to be in the plot. This chaos, combined with what I essentially saw as a filler story, and changes in official RS lore, led to my eventual abandoning of the original in favor of re-writing the story.
