“Ah, what a lovely day, the birds are singing, the sun is shining, and the wizard’s tower is looking particularly unguarded. Yes, I think today is a good time for an excursion to the south, and… what the blasted heck is that owl doing out in broad daylight?!”
Dionysius, better known as the Wise Old Man of Draynor, tore himself from his telescope and peered out his window, just to make sure his eyes weren’t paying tricks on him. Sure enough, there was a single blue owl flying toward his house, bearing a scroll tied to its leg. As it neared his house, Dionysius calmly closed his shutters, and a moment later, there was a thud as the owl slammed into the aforementioned shutters.
“Clearly I need to stay inside today,” said Dionysius, proceeding to calmly shutter the rest of the windows in his house. He paused as he noticed Miss Schism standing directly under one of his windows. With a sigh, he grabbed a pot of freshly brewed tea and dumped it out that window. Hearing a scream from outside, he chuckled to himself and shuttered that window as well. Once all the windows were closed, he bolted his door, and began to brew another batch of tea.
“What a lovely day to be retired,” he said, “To know that I can relax at home, without worrying about, oh, I don’t know, a god trying to shove his chores on me.” As he said this there was a knock on his door, which Dionysius entirely ignored. When the knocking began again, he sighed and peered out his peephole; as he expected, a knight in gold trimmed white armor was standing outside. Seeing this, he went back to his tea and cast a silencing spell on the door.
He was in the midst of drinking his second cup of tea when a voice filled his head.
-Dionysius- said the voice.
-No Hablo Ingles- Dionysius thought before creating a psychic barrier around his mind to block further attempts at telepathy.
"He appears in the Form of a Man with many Countenances; and he hath a Book in his right hand. His Office is to teach all Arts and Sciences unto any; and to declare the Secret Counsel of any one."

In the realm of the gods, Saradomin twitched. Dionysius whined about not being properly appreciated, but then, when the very god who gave him the majority of his powers contacted him, first via an owl, secondly via a temple knight, and finally directly through telepathy, Dionysius entirely ignored him.
“Why did I make that man my chosen?” Saradomin grumbled.
“Old Dissy being stubborn again?” asked Zamorak, walking over to Saradomin with a bag of popcorn in his hands.
“And now Zamorak is here,” groaned Saradomin, “This is the best day ever!”
“Glad to here it, Sara-wussy,” said Zamorak, “Now let me show you how a real god’s chosen behaves.”
“Your chosen, is Iban, right?” asked Saradomin, “He’s dead, so how are you going to have him do anything?”
“Well, he’s not going to be dead in a few moments, mister smarty-pants,” said Zamorak, “I’m about to resurrect him!”
“Isn’t that against the Edicts?” questioned Saradomin.
“Edicts, Schmedicts,” replied Zamorak, “Old Skull-Face isn’t looking and rules are meant to be broken anyway.”
Saradomin thought for a moment about letting Guthix know about Zamorak’s little plan, but with a little more thinking he realized that he could use Guthix’s inattention to his advantage.

Dionysius continued to sip his tea. “Ah,” he said to himself, “This truly is a fine day, no work, no responsibilities, just my tea, a nice book and-”
Dionysius’ monologue was interrupted as a thunderbolt shot through his roof, and began writing into his floor: “Dionysius, get your lazy butt off that chair and over to the Law Temple, NOW!!!"
Rolling his eyes, Dionysius stood up. “Gods,” he sighed under his breath as he walked to the door. As soon as he opened it, the silence spell he had cast earlier was broken, and he found himself listening to a temple knight blabber things about “not ignoring the messengers of Saradomin,” and “what kind of Saradominist robs banks anyways?”

“So noisy,” sighed Dionysius. With this, he placed his hand on the temple knight’s head and said “Tele-other: Kalphite Queen.”

Deep within the Kalphite Lair, the Kalphite Queen was resting; enjoying a rare break from hordes of adventurers running into her home to attack her in hopes of stealing some of the things she had gathered. Suddenly a bright light filled her dim lair and when it had faded there was one of those annoying human things in its place. The Kalphite Queen recognized it to be one of those “knights” humans, which like the kalphites had hard outer shells, but were soft and juicy on the inside. To her glee it seemed to be alone; and had arrived just as she was beginning to feel a bit peckish. While the “knight” looked around in confusion, the Kalphite Queen snuck up behind it, and with a quick swat of one of her legs crushed its hard outer shell. Then after a quick prayer of thanksgiving to Scabaras for sending her this free meal, she began to feast on the soft interior of the “knight.”

On the other side of the known world, in the treacherous series of caverns known as the Underground Pass, a lone coffin suddenly sprung open, and from it a decaying corpse emerged.
-Am I back?- it thought, -Really back? Not just as a shadow made by that witch, but actually myself once more?- As it thought this, the corpse stumbled toward the stairs leading out of this part of the cavern. A few dwarves noticed it and shouted in surprise before fleeing. The corpse let them be, it could always come back for them later, right now it had more pressing matters.

It took a good half hour for the corpse to stumble to its destination, but finally it stood at the Well of Zamorak.
“Father,” it gasped, “Restore me!”
With these words, the Well shot forth flames which engulfed the corpse. Hearing the commotion a group of paladins sent to explore the caverns came running into the room. There they found themselves standing before a lone black knight.

“Who are you?” one demanded, drawing his sword.
The black knight turned to him, then a voice filled the paladin’s head. -Iban will save you, he will save us all.-
“Impossible!” gasped the paladin, “He’s gone, an adventure sent his soul to the abyss! There’s no way...”
“Really?” asked the knight, “Did you think it would be so easy to kill the son of a god?” Before the paladins could react, Iban set them all ablaze with a motion of his hand, and sat down to watch the paladins writhing in pain, and trying to put out the fires that had engulfed them. When the paladins had been reduced to blackened corpses, Iban laughed to himself.
“Ah,” he said, “It is good to be back.”
As he said this, a hawk flew through the tunnels and deposited a scroll at Iban’s feet, picking it up, he read:

Iban,
Go to the Mage Arena, and talk to Kolodien! I have a fun job for you!
Chaos is awesome,
Dad

“Aw,” sighed Iban, “I just get back and he’s already piling chores on me… Oh well, he doesn’t say when I need to be there. Guess I’ll go to Ardougne, drink a few beers and pick up a few girls before I head to the wildy. I’m sure he won’t mind.”

“RESSURECTING A CORPSE?! WRITING MESSAGES WITH LIGHTNING?! WHAT PART OF NON-INTERVENTION DID YOU TWO IDIOTS NOT UNDERSTAND?!”
Saradomin and Zamorak averted their eyes as Guthix continued to scold them. Apparently, just because Guthix wasn’t paying attention at the moment didn't mean he wouldn’t notice divine intervention in the world.
“Oh well,” sighed Guthix, “I guess I can be merciful this time. However, both of you will be punished for this; for the next week you can't answer your followers' prayers, understand?"
"Yes sir," the two other gods sighed in unison.
"Good, let this be a lesson to you," said Guthix, "No direct intervention means just that."

Ah Iban, one of my favorite characters in your stories. I might be biased because the underground pass was one of my favorite quests and Iban is an interesting fellow to begin with. He seems a bit more powerful than before, from throwing a pebble through a single spinal cord to bursting the whole group into flames. Well, he is a chosen after all. And of course we cannot forget the wise old man, I particularly do not like him and I think you got him just about right.

Far from the inhabited lands of Gielinor there is a valley rarely visited by humans. Those few who know of its existence refer to it as the Druid’s Valley, for it was there, not in Taverly where the druids came into being. Over the millenia, this valley has served as a sacred place for the most faithful of Guthix’s followers, who preserved it and kept it safe even in terrible God Wars.
This valley was like none other on Gielinor, for within it, either by Guthix’s blessing, or by more natural means, any plant could grow and flourish; be it the coniferous pines of the northern tundra, or the short, stubby cacti of the Khardian Desert, and the druids had seen to it, that over the years every plant that had ever been discovered on Gielinor had been planted in the valley. Furthermore, the nature of the valley was such that every flowering plant within the valley stayed in the state of blooming, even in the dead of winter. As a result, the valley was continually blanketed in a myriad of colors, making it dazzling to behold. Adding to the magnificence of this valley was a series of cataracts, sparkling like diamonds in the light of the sun, which sat at the far end of the valley.
It was under one of these cataracts that the sole human inhabitant of the valley sat, his eyes shut in concentration as the water pounded his youthful body, and drenched his prematurely white hair. All this human wore were a pair of tattered green pants and a single amulet bearing the symbol of Guthix.

-Jayson.-
The human’s eyes snapped open, revealing them to be a strange mix of blue and green.
“Father,” the human replied.
-A dire situation has arisen, come to the grove.-
"He appears in the Form of a Man with many Countenances; and he hath a Book in his right hand. His Office is to teach all Arts and Sciences unto any; and to declare the Secret Counsel of any one."

Jayson stood immediately, there was no mistaking what grove Guthix was speaking of; for in the center of the valley was a clearing, in the center of which was a single group of trees not found anywhere else on Gielinor. The trunks of these trees shone like silver, and the leaves sparkled like crystal, and in the midst of this grove was a lone round stone, covered in cracks and moss; this was the first altar made to Guthix, wrought by no mortal hands, but the power of Guthix himself.
When Jayson came to the grove, he found a cloaked man sitting on the altar, surrounded by a group consisting of ents, dryads, and faerie with whom he was conversing.
“Father,” said Jayson bowing to the cloaked man.
“Ah, mine son,” said Guthix, “It is good thou cameth so quickly. As I hath mentioned, a situation hath arisen. Six weapons of great power hath been unleashed upon this land, and already the other gods are mobilizing to seize these weapons and distort mine balance.”
“Father, am I to go and retrieve these weapons?” questioned Jayson.
“In time, yes,” replied Guthix.
“In time?” asked Jayson.
“Thou must first wait for thine companions,* explained Guthix.
“What companions are those?” asked Jayson.
“I hath called them from the many corners of mine land,” said Guthix, “They art on their way to this valley as we speaketh. Jayson, prepare thyself, for this wilt be a challenge beyond all others thou hast known.”
“How long before they arrive?” asked Jayson.
“I shalt give them but a day’s time,” replied Guthix, “Until then Jayson, rest thyself.”
“As you wish, father,” replied Jayson.

“Oi, all pay ‘ttention now!"
The goblin temple went silent as all the goblins turned to the high priest.
"He appears in the Form of a Man with many Countenances; and he hath a Book in his right hand. His Office is to teach all Arts and Sciences unto any; and to declare the Secret Counsel of any one."

“Me have message from big high war god!” exclaimed the high priest. At this the goblins began cheering. Waiting for them to calm down, the high priest went on, “Big high war god say he give us strong weapons so we fight good, and kill smelly tall people! Then we have big battles in name of big high war god!” More cheers began erupting, when these too had died down, the high priest began again, “Big high war god send big ogres and strong orcs to help goblins get weapons, look they here now!"
Every last goblin turned to see a group of two ogre shamans and two orcs bearing crossbows walk into the room.
“These be help big high war god give us!" exclaimed the high priest. With this latest proclamation, the goblins begin scurrying to and from various crevices in the temple, bringing gifts to the helpers that the big high war god had sent.

“Wow,” commented Zamorak, “I didn't think you would dare show your face after getting crushed by that HUMAN, Bandos. Much less actually try to seize the weapons for yourself.”
“You shut up, god of evil flame!” retorted the war god, who even now was covered in wounds.
“Looks like you can’t regenerate still,” commented Zamorak, looking at Bandos’ still bleeding wounds, “In that case, you shouldn’t talk back to me.” As he said this, Zamorak threw a ball of fire at the brutish god’s head, knocking him back into a wall.
“Aarg! Head hurt!” shouted Bandos.
“Don’t worry, there’s nothing in there to get damaged anyway,” commented Zamorak as he bit off a rabbit's head.
“You... shut up!” shouted Bandos.
“You… don’t learn do you?” asked Zamorak as he tossed another fireball. As it hit he mused to himself, “Then again, I guess you do need a brain to learn, don’t you?”
“Most certainly,” said Guthix materializing next to Zamorak. Noticing the war god lying in a corner covered in wounds and burns, he added, “Oh, Bandos art back after losing to that human, art he? I didst not think he would bother showing his face after that embarrassment.”
