Oh, one last suggestion I forgot to mention.

I notice that the pirates sound uncharacteristly intelligent. Their speech kinda belies their piratedom. They sound like knights, not brigands.

Perhaps you should try to make them sound a little more canon?

Ah, good idea. However, Uvedin is a very intelligent Pirate, as is Joran. I don't think the others have spoken yet, but still I will try and change their speech a little bit anyway.
