Creepter,
Oh, please don't be disheartened. Do believe me when I say that this was FAR from the worst story I've ever read. There were in fact moments that were very enjoyable. Right before the ending, I was genuinely intrigued and interested to find out all of the answers to the questions you'd formed. This is far better than many other stories on this forum. Please remember that I judge stories based on their ability to be successfully published, thus ensuring the rather strict industry standards are applied. In fact, I am more critical than some industry editors.
In this story, it was just a compilation of minute mistakes that made it far from publishable. With a bit of work, serious editing, and a greater attention to detail, I have no doubt that you can improve your grade up to twenty-five percent. :)

Green Kill67,
Hello. Your application was improperly filled out. Since the guidelines regarding application were changed recently, you will not be suspended. You may apply again, with the appropriate changes made, as you see fit. :)
You should be aware that users are expected to read both the first page as well as the reviews posted successive to it prior to applying.

Logan Shafts,
Hello. Your application is improperly filled out. I suggest that you re-read the rules regarding applying for a review on the first page. Similar to the previous applicant, you are not suspended from further application. You may feel free to apply again at your leisure, provided it is within the rules. :)
Furthermore, I have never received an application for an anthology before. As it would be a new endeavour, it would require a lot of input from you, as the author. I hope that you would be willing to provide this, as it would increase the quality of the review exponentially. :)

Yrolg, might I asked why you wrote that kind of review? I have read all of your reviews on this thread (and quite enjoyed reading them for my own beneficial knowledge), but it just seemed like you never mentioned how Creepter could've improved, and I know that isn't the actual role of a reviewer, but I liked that from your old reviews, it made them feel more personal.
I'd love to hear your reasoning. :)

I'm sorry, I read the rules and the whole first 5 pages as instructed. I must have missed something blatantly, sorry. =p
If I figure out what is wrong with the application, I will re-apply. If not, owell. Also I would be perfectly willing to supply any information requested, provided that I actually have the information, or am able to obtain it reasonably.

Edit: Setting my rubric for 137 seems to entirely negate the supposed intended purpose of the rubric. Also, the smiley face and such seem completely petty and controlling, based on this I don't intend to re-apply unless the rules are changed again.
Goodluck to all other applicants.

Dark Enmity,
Most of Creepter's mistakes were fairly simple, and he acknowledged them in the beginning of his thread. Because of this, I only focused on the problems that he didn't already know about (which was mainly the dialogue and the plot). I suggested in the end of the review how he could improve on the plot (by eliminating the extensive introduction and answering the questions introduced throughout the middle), and the dialogue is really a case-by-case basis.
I also posted on his thread that I would be more than willing to provide additional feedback (note that feedback always includes how to improve) if he so requested.
This entire style is experimental for this institution, and I know that certain things will be changed for the next review. If users think it appropriate, I will include three parts in my next review: a rubric, a review, and suggestions for improvement.

Logan Shafts,
Each of the "controlling" items you mentioned are to ensure that applicants are familiar with the terms and conditions of reviewal (as well as familiar with the varying styles in which I review as well as the items on which I focus) before acceptance. I have subtotals in the rubric to ensure that I can easily evaluate the rubric provided by applicant; adding six numbers requires no time at all when compared to explaining the disclaimer that the user agreed to when posting an application.
I have removed some of these "controls" for future reviews. I am continually updating the thread to reflect the status of the current review, and certain controls will be implemented, changed, or removed so that applicants will always be presenting a knowledge of the relevant information.
If you disagree with my method of ensuring that all accepted applications were posted with knowledge of this threads terms and conditions, I highly encourage you to propose your own method of doing so. The current system is an inconvenience not only to the applicant but also to the institution. Unfortunately, the honour method is not acceptable.
