Now this was a battle worth fighting, a true test of skill and power, Rovaan thought as the two demonic titans clashed. The very air withered under the battle, and it made Rovaan's blood burn hotter as the elements acknowledged the battle. His leading attack was a failure though as Azul's crab-like appendage clasped onto the enormous blade stopping its momentum almost dead in its tracks. But rather than look surprised, Rovaan laughed at his predicament even as the oily tentacle from Azul began to wrap itself around both his blade and arm to hold it in place.

''Smart, very smart my elder. But it won't be enough I'm afraid.'' said Rovaan in a deep mocking tone his voice now reflecting his new demonic form.

Despite the sudden stop in his attack Rovaan's stance remained nearly flawless. For when the blade was stopped he had shifted his weight and stance so the sudden stop in momentum didn't injure himself. It was a risky move but it has paid off as it left his off-hand free from Azul's grasp. The air before Rovaan's free hand shimmered as the crevasses on his body glowed brighter like a forge being stoked, ready for the next blade to be forged. From the air Rovaan pulled though an axe of molten metal, the edge of the blade still smoldering from the flames of its creation. Rovaan lifted the axe ready to strike before he could catch a glimpse of the serpentine tail weaving between his legs and tightening, trying to throw him off balance.

Off balance Rovaan it did, as the tail had taken Rovaan's stance and turned it against him, quickly taking him from a wide balanced stance to one where his weight threw him off. Quick thinking however allowed Rovaan to act quickly before he could fall to the ground and be at Azul's mercy. For as he toppled, Rovaan swung his newly forged axe at the serpentine tail, the molten blade biting into the unprotected flesh like a hot knife through a stick of butter, almost literally.

As the axe cleaved through the tail, and sealed the wound with its molten searing heat, Rovaan attempted to regain his stance by pulling his legs back apart as the tail withered from being cleaved in two.

''Using a tail to trip me up eh? Very clever in deed my elder. But you are not the only one that can use a tail to fight back.'' Rovaan laughed as his own tail rose up behind him, at the end, a crudely shaped spire of molten metal burned like a firebrand, embers rising into the still air.

But before Rovaan's struck, Joric wounded Azul's exposed flank. Sending Azul into what could best be described as a panic, though not a physical one, no. Rovaan could feel the power of the elder demon waning as it bleed from the wound the dwarf had given him, Azul's morale was breaking and now with the bird pecking away at Azul, it made Rovaan smile. It was a sinister smile fit for a demon lord as what was once Rovaan now seemed lost within the hellish titan of scale, iron, and fur.

Azul's cries for help and mercy only broadened Rovaan's darkened sinister smile. The elder demon had shown weakness and Rovaan intended to exploit it and cause as much suffering on the weaked Azul as he possibly could. Rovaan was so lost in his own sick, twisted mind that he did not see Etheldredda making her way to stand between the two demonic titians.

''You call yourself a demon.'' mocked Rovaan as he lashed out with his own tail, laughing maniacally as he did so. ''Asking a mortal to spare your life, bah! You are an insult to every demon, Azul caller of the demon hordes, begging for mercy. It is laughable. Here I am, some half breed whelp of a demon and desperate queen looking for an heir to her dead husband's throne, standing before one that should inspire fear at the very mention of his name, begging for his life. I like it to be honest. Now....lets see how much I can make you scream."

Annie didn't care what the others said about this demon. She knows what her teacher taught her before he got kidnapped about demons that if a demons get summon to here they are slaves. She was going to save him no mater what they said. She summons a force field to stop Kuro from absorbing Azul and protect him from getting attack from the others. Then repiled to Kuro," I didn't forget what he did and I don't care. This demon was summoned here for no reason so that makes him a slave! Plus he hasn't attacked us. So I am going to save him! Plus he wouldn't be in this position if you didn't absorb Azul's corpse!" Then she said to Tempora Sage,"Etheldredda is not deranged! She knows I am a demigod and my job is to free slaves! Plus she trust me! If you hurt her you will have to deal with me! You got to trust me." She was hoping that Arran will guide her to free Azul from this world. -Dances-

((Just so you guys know, I'm posted a response to Loaned Shark's post as he is in a contained area with no other character interacting with him. As there's a lot of people in the Hamstead storyline that need to post, I won't be responding to your posts just yet. Seeing as I usually take a long time to post, and because I haven't posted in a while, I think it would catch a lot of people off-guard to come back here and see so many new posts.

I wouldn't want to discourage people from returning, especially because after Tuesday I will be finished with university, and therefore posting a lot more! So just a little while longer to wait guys, and then we can get back to the quicker-paced, action-packed roleplaying that we all love!))

The Necromancer

The doors to The Temple swung open, and Ubaid entered into the threshold.

Two guards had been posted at the door, if guards were what you could call them. One was in his fifties, his skin a fading red that hinted at a recent vacation to the tropics, again in brown robes, his eyes blue and wide in fear- so much so that he fell backwards into a wall-mounted fountain, the water of which began to freeze over as Ubaid advanced. The other, a short, black-haired woman with thin, angular eyes, took one look at the embalmed, armoured spirit and fled through a door behind her, a key audibly locking on the other side.

Silence had descended upon the auditorium, and all eyes, (hidden behind their coloured masks,) turned to the new mask-wearer, whose own coverings were snapped in half, revealing the void beneath. They listened in surprise and in fear, their muted breathes visible in the air in front of them as the inner emptiness of Ubaid permeated the room, reaching all of its corners, frosting the glass dome above.

When the speech was over, the fat man in the black robes arose, pointing a sausage-like finger accusingly at the intruder.

"Your kind is not welcome here!" He said, apparently showing no fear of the fact a wraith had just stormed into his temple and prophesised their imminent doom. "Do you know who I am? I am Grand Supreme Lithior, and I will not-"

"Quit your braying!" Cut over the man in the blue mask, the defined brow-bones and large nose etched onto the mask in yellow making the man look as angry as he sounded. "A devil walks among us and you wish to talk it to death? Before I was a priest I was a knight, and I remember my vows well." From within his robes we withdrew a shortsword, and judging from the jumping-back of the silver-masked man next to him and collective gasps around the room, no one had been aware this man had been carrying a weapon.

"Goodness gracious!" Exclaimed the ram-mask, as the sun-mask next to him got up in an angry fury.

"Are you dense ? He just said Soahc sent him!"

"The demon that would burn our town to ashes, yes," agreed the blue mask, moving to vault over the wood which separated him from the floor and engage Ubaid in combat.

"We worship all gods here, even those you do not wish to recognise," intoned the man behind the green mask, the mask which depicted a timepiece upon it. "It is God's Will that sent him here, and we must respect that."

This gave the sword-wielder halt. He considered the words of his comrade for many moments in silence, and then at last growled and flung his sword to the ground. "Fine!" He barked. "But I'll have no part in this. I am the Mouth of Tyrrus, and he would not want me consorting with this sort!" And with that, the man in the blue mask stormed out of the room, barrelling the drunken and unconscious man in the white mask and a raven's picture onto the floor in the process.

"Whassat," muttered the drunk, before falling asleep once more.

"I... I did not ordain this," whispered the man in the black robes, the self declared Grand Supreme, who was now waddling steadily back away from Ubaid, as though realising now that the others in the room would not back him in his stand against this intrusion.

"No, but God Himself has," said the old man in the silver mask, standing up and bowing to the undead as though he was some honoured and long-awaited guest. "Forgive my colleagues," he said from behind his crescent-moon, "Faith can be fickle when faced with adversity. We each champion an aspect of God, yet sometimes we become so entrenched in our studies that we forget to accept the Wider Conscience that is He."

It certainly seemed like a lot of them had forgotten to accept the Wider Conscience- or more accurately, had never known it to start with. The man in the black mask, the frightening image of a spider-shark on the front, had began climbing up the chairs in the hopes of prying open a window and escaping into the night. The woman he had been flirting with, again in a black mask with four stars upon it, had abandoned the mask as though to pretend she were not a part of the order, and had stumbled into this meeting by mistake. The crimson cheeks on her pudgy face were highlighted by the tears that streamed down it as she stared, mesmerised, into the void of Ubaid's face.

The man with the ram on his mask was praying out loud, a rather tediously annoying display, but the woman in the red mask with the burning sun engraved on it had more about her. "Soahc is coming here?" She asked.

"And- and you say you're not working with him?" Clarified the man in the orange mask with the great slasher-smile depicted upon it.

"We are the Grand Priests of the Unified Church," the old man in silver continued, seemingly uninterested in the commentary his peers had thrown into the mix. "We here believe that every god on this earth is an Aspect of the Greater God- The One Above All: God Himself. We have each chosen an aspect of god to champion, and so we wear our masks."

"Try recruiting him later," snapped the sun-mask, irate. "Soahc is coming here ? We don't have any weapons, we're a church . We were only established fifty years ago, we can't rub two pennies together! There's no treasure here for him to take!"

"If it the Will of God that we should die, then that is how it shall be," intoned the moon-mask, nodded solemnly as though he was witnessing his own funeral.

"I didn't, we shouldn't... Don't humour this heathen!" Stammered the Grand Supreme. "We won't be a church if we let Soahc have his way!"

"We have little time," echoed the man in the green mask, his mask depicting a timepiece, his voice causing the others to stop their own gibbering. Of the Grand Priests assembled, it seemed most had a respect for the Grand Priest of Janus, or else were stunned into silence by the irony of the chief researcher into the time god discussing the topic of time.

"Shade, reveal your intentions and we shall aid you in whatever way we can," the Grand Priest of Janus told Ubaid simply.

Of course, whilst all of this was going on, Ubaid was scanning the room magically, reaching out, searching for what he had sensed before- the void of magic. It was one of them, it was a person in the room. Not the Grand Priests that had been most vocal, most certainly not the Grand Supreme. The drunkard was nothing more than he seemed, the praying man and the escaping man and the crying woman as average as their go-to responses would indicate.

Up, near the rafters on the highest seats, were three men. One was the man in the goat's mask, who had departed from his seat only to try and hide under it and obscure himself from danger. Another was the man in the horse's mask, who had decided to use the third man as a human shield. It was neither of these two, something Ubaid could have figured out without a magical probe, which only left one other alternative: the horsemask's shield.

Outside, he had looked simply as though he was lounging about. Inside, it was evident that he was not stretched out, he was simply massive . Easily seven-foot, potentially eight, not thick-built but incredibly lanky, if the robes were anything to indicate. His hands were hidden within the sleeves of his robes, though it seemed as though this was to obscure his skin rather than due to an ill-fitting hem. Now that Ubaid was below him, if he was to look he would be able to see under the hood. It was obscured by torchlight, but clearly it was not a mask that he was looking at. It was the edge of a nose, it seemed, except its nostrils were holes in its skin rather than protruding outwards from the face, and it seemed that there was the start of a mouth as well, as though the nose was not protruding outwards either. Its skin was coloured in flecks of red and green, and had a dry, reflective look to them...

Whatever this thing was, this dense aberration in the magical field, this distortion of reality that could so clearly be sensed by those with the ability to look, it was not human. Whatever it was representing, it had been deemed an accurate enough portrayal to not warrant a mask at all. Yet what monstrosity could warrant such a monstrous disciple? What was this creature doing here at all?

The PlAy r0ó|\/|

At least Alania felt hope, recovering from the most dreadful things she had seen; it was just a dream, a nightmare, and all bad dreams come to end when those who are afraid of the dark wake up. What a sight Siera must have been for her! Then, the woods witch spoke, a prophecy, referring to the “last god” and how the future and present are involved. What a strange world, to have time itself flowing unfixed. Perhaps, the destruction of the future was prevented by going in the past, somehow?

Alania seemed to have figured something out, regarding the Spirrys. The Mechanical one indeed seemed to be the wiser one, even telling everyone Spirry's weaknesses, suggesting the Mechanical version was orderly but deadlier, maybe even wanting to get rid of his fleshy counterpart despite being one in the same. Undoubtedly, Newborn was not part of this, he was dragged here by the will of the Mechanical, but did seem to recognize this place despite his immaturity and naivety.

She wanted to help him, sensing good in him, and knew her quest: to save him. He would never go beyond his love of sadomasochism, but with some creativity and determination, perhaps her purpose would truly succeed, one way or another. Odd, that Newborn seemed to come from the present, yet was older than this world, whereas Mechanical seemed to have come from the future, yet existed in the past, at least according to this dream. Perhaps such a calamity would be avoided? Regardless, Spirry's future existed in his past, and it was literally haunting him as well as those living in this world. This realm was Chaos, which means “chasm”, an eternal void made of never-ending nightmares and suffering, trying to rise into the world.

But, when Alania mentioned the good in Newborn, he looked at her with his empty eye sockets, body still fleshy, skinless, bleeding, and despite not have much of a face, his skeletal yet meaty visage seemed... at peace.

“I know.” Newborn replied, this time, no blood spurting out his mouth, and his voice clear.

Upon hearing that, Mechanical tilted his head, and fumed with steam out his nostrils, rearing, walking through Siera as if an immaterial substance, and then intending to pounce upon Alania and rip her apart, and just as he leapt angrily, body sizzling and gushing, the dream dissipated; it was finally over, and all the dreamers awoke, at long last, gone from such horrible sights.
