Kaisen arrived back to Lydius, and Lydius smiled. "Very good. You have finished my training."
"Thank you, Master Lydius."
Lydius bowed to him. "Now, I must be off."
"Wait!" Lydius stopped and listened. Kaisen continued, "I may be fast, but I still can't beat the dragon. What do I do?"
Lydius sighed. "Young mage, there is no records to look back on. No one has ever done this before. Therefore, you are on your own."
Kaisen lowered his head. Lydius continued, "But no one has ever undertaken the quest you have borne, and you have done it quite well. Trust your instincts. You are the only one that can perform the task. And above all, remember the objective Aardi is stressing. I realize that he doesn't want you to win, but it is the hardest quests that tell you the most about yourself. Good luck."
Lydius left the meadow, leaving Kaisen to his thoughts.
