--- The Man in the Moon ---

He watches a slumbering world
The mysterious Man in the Moon
But is it really sleeping?
Is the peace keeping?
He hopes the Sun rises soon

Mortal Danger prowls in the dark
And Heaven's Watchman shines 'round his light
But are the shadows parting?
Are the demons darting?
Children still shiver in fright

The Man in the Moon is silent
He is bound to his post in the sky
Are we his place taking?
Are we safe asleep and waking?
It's our choice how to live and die

---

Probably horrible, but I just made it up on the spot. :P

~Rain~

Seatbelt rash to
goosebump neck,
Aluminium wreck,
Pale fingers loose
On the steering
Wheel of misfortune
Patter splatter glass
Shatter facsimile
Shards in puddles
Of reddish water,
Ambulance aurora,
Flash upon stony
Eyes under scarlet
Rivers and wet hair
Headlight obscured
By slanting liquid
Sunshine onto baby
Seat strewn across,
Greasy tarmac toss,
It’s still alive, I doubt.

_Believe_

They say there's hope,
bright in the eyes of all the childern.
Change, they say, is ahead.

If you believe in such things.

They say there's a future,
being dealt to the hands of all the childern.
Success, they say, is for us.

If you believe in such things.

They say there's a solution,
forced into the minds of all the childern.
Failure, they say, is not an option.

If you believe such things.

Interesting message, Bubble.

~Alleyway Refreshments~

Slurp, burp, clear of throat and sniff
Musty dampness in the murky air
Clinks of unwashed glass and the
Movement of oaken stool legs for
Tool dregs of poisons in forgotten
Sons. The Landlord bored behind
Conveyor belt of wife beaters and
Slumping low lives—“Pint of bitter
-ness, please,” grunting wheeze,
Grease slapped sleaze on poles like
Teflon coated objects with objectives
Of a fly, dirty filthy riddled with S.T.
-Devils drowning in the drink of sin.

--- Picture ---

I know this face
Staring up at me.
Familiarity
And memory
Shining from bright pupils
Reflections in ice
Frozen in time
Would that I
Could reach through the glass
Grab the hand
Pull it through
Never let go
But the pane is too strong
To hold on tight enough.

~Sir Winston Churchill and the War Cabinet~

During the second world war
(WW2) Sir Winston, as he was known,
was in charge of the War Cabinet
where all the most important war documents
were kept—things like leaflets on how to
make bombs; photos of enemies; trade
secrets; the recipe for poisonous
glue; and his toilet paper.

Churchill used the information to
singlehandedly win the war.

After the war he used the cabinet to keep
his own personal stuff in—plans for brick walls,
sheets, knick knacks, whisky, mags and vids.
