~~ The Blundering Adventurer ~~

To any of you who recognize this thread from times long past, I welcome you back; to those who are new: welcome :)

It's been a while. A long, long while. For those of you who don't know what I'm going on about, I was an active blogger on these forums some years ago, but stopped due to real-life commitments and time restraints. Now however, the need for writing has once again gained a grip on me.

Where do I start... Many things have changed. Both with my personal life and with my account, but with Runescape too. My last blog post was in October of 2012, and although I continued to play Runescape, I did not document my journey from then until now.

So... Changes! The biggest change would have to be my levels. I was skilling quite a lot in the past nine months, and I might not be the little noob you might remember anymore :P Even so, I'm still the completely inefficient nub you used to read about :)

So in this blog, I will try to update my progress in Runescape regularly, in a blog/text form. I'm not sure if I'll be able to write every day, but I'll try my best!

And so... Welcome to my little blog :)

@ Joshyway & Carl Teh Dog: Welcome back guys :)

Wow, been quite a long time since I've written a blog post! I don't know how to summarize the past months... So much has happened!

I'll start with the basics. When I stopped writing all those months ago, I was so busy in real life, and I had just lost interest in the game. After a while though, I decided on a goal for myself: I was going to get the Taskmaster emote.

I worked hard on that goal. I slaved away at the requirements, never deviating from my vision. 96 Fishing took a long time to get, but Fish Flingers was of insurmountable help. The Agility requirement was pretty brutal too, but after a while I kind of turned into a zombie and the hours slipped past unnoticed.

Dominion Tower was a pain too, but I did eventually manage to complete it. Now Farming. I can confidently say that I would not be close to 99 Farming if it weren't for Warbands. Warbands have helped me beyond belief!

After a few months, I completed my goal of accessing the Taskmaster emote. I needed a new goal! This time, I decided I would get 99 Slayer. With the Evolution of Combat, Slayer XP was easier to come by than ever, and it only took me a couple weeks to achieve one of the most prestigious 99s in Runescape.

By this time, Mining Golds had set a date for their annual 99 Day. I looked at my stats and figured that I could probably get a couple in there! I first started with 99 Fishing. I was already pretty close due to the Taskmaster requirement, so after a few weeks I was just a couple thousand XP away from 99 Fishing!

I did this with a couple skills. Runecrafting followed shortly, as did Herblore. That's when the grinding came in. 88-99 Crafting took me quite some time, and I did it all with Blue Dragonhide Bodies. 99 Construction was the next one.

99 Construction was awful. I bought 130,000 Oak Planks... I had planned on making Oak Dungeon Doors to 99. And you know what? I did.

It was brutal. I forced myself through every 100,000xp chunks, going out for massive walks or bike rides in between. Making thousands of Oak Dungeon Doors was easily the most click-intensive thing I've ever done on Runescape. But in the end, it was worth it.

After a week or two after my Construction ordeal, the big day happened. Mining Golds members flocked to Varrock and partook in our giant annual event: Clan 99 Day! During that event, I achieved 99 Runecrafting, 99 Crafting, 99 Herblore, 99 Fishing and 99 Construction.

That was just a month ago, so we're nearly caught up!

From there, I started training Agility more, boosting that to level 96. Then, I went to Hunter (my lowest skill at the time) and started catching butterflies. I hunted butterflies for a couple of weeks, and eventually I achieved level 92 Hunter and 97 Agility. Finally I could make myself a fancy 90+ Cape!

Just recently, I purchased a new computer for myself (HP Envy) and it's awesome! Finally, I can run the game on maximum graphics and not lag; the way Runescape was meant to be played.

And if you recall, I had started dating a girl back in October 2012 or so... Well, we broke things off in March 2013, but I started dating another girl in April and things are going much better :)

Well, that's the big catch-up! As for today, I trained Woodcutting mostly. I'm getting quite close to that legendary Max Cape, and I think I've decided to try and get 99 Woodcutting out of the way.

Today, I trained at Arctic Pines, located on Neitiznot. I camped there for a few hours, and eventually left to participate in the Wilderness Warbands with Mining Golds. Unfortunately, I think someone tipped off a PKing clan... They were there waiting for us, and although I tried my best to escape, I was piled and died :(

Pretty soon, I won't even need to go to Warbands; I really only go to them for the Farming XP!

I headed back to Arctic Pines for a bit and continued to power-cut them with my Inferno Adze. I was getting really close to level 97, and I couldn't wait! I really don't like Woodcutting too much, but it's not as bad as Construction was... Nothing can be.

That's it for today folks! I'm really excited about starting this blog up again!

Thanks for reading, and good night! :)

Hi!

I logged on today at the Arctic Pines, right where I logged off. I had only cut a few inventories of logs when a friend of mine, Pachocus, asked me if I wanted to attempt a few Corporeal Beast kills with him. I was skeptical, but agreed.

I quickly teleported to the Fight Caves with my Tokkul-Zo and started to gear up. I went with full Bandos armour, Overloads, a few Prayer Potions and a ton of Rocktails. I teleported to the Corporeal Beast with my Games Necklace and waited for Pachocus to arrive.

Killing the Corporeal Beast in a duo was actually much easier than I expected. I didn't eat too many Rocktails, and we killed the behemoth surprisingly quickly. We were not using Lootshare, so because I dealt the most damage, I received the drop. And what do you know... The worst possible Corporeal Beast drop. A few coins, gems and a Loop Half Key.

We went for a couple more kills, and I managed to get the drop each time. Of course, I split the drop with my partner each time. In the end, we received Pure Essence and Mahogany Logs, and I managed to claim a Hard Clue Scroll.

After quickly completing the Hard Clue (horrible loot), I headed back to Neitiznot for some more Woodcutting training. It didn't take me long to achieve level 97 Woodcutting!

My brother (LoneCone) recently started playing Runescape, and I decided I wanted to go kill Steel Dragons with him. Like me, he loves clue scrolls and was desperately trying to obtain an Elite Clue.

I dawned my Sea Singer robes for the first time and ventured down into the Brimhaven Dungeon to slay some Steel Dragons. I actually went into the Resource Dungeon down there for the first time, and was shocked by how many Steel Dragons were down there!

I killed the dragons insanely fast, picking up Rune Hatchets and Runite Limbs. My brother, outside the dungeon, received a Hard Clue before me, but I was determined to stay until I received a clue scroll.

It actually took me a fairly long time to get a clue from these dragons, but eventually, I obtained a Hard Clue. I immediately left and completed it... For bad loot yet again :(

Back to the Arctic Pines I went! I stayed there for a while, until the daily tick came by. I had a Farming Challenge today, so I teleported out to Catherby to plant a Torstol. After claiming my reward from the Quartermaster, I made a quick stop at my Player Owned Port. I'm getting pretty close to Death Lotus Armour, and I'm only about 50 Plate away from Tetsu.

I headed back to Neitiznot yet again, where I stayed for the rest of my play time. When I logged off, I was only about 880,000xp to level 98 Woodcutting! Man, I can't wait to get this skill done and out of the way!

Thanks for reading!

Good night! :)
