I went with my clan Mining Golds as per usual, and was very disappointed when the first camp we went to had neither Smithing or Farming tents. Shadowyone, a fellow clanmate/admin had gone out to scout other worlds, and he had actually found a world free of other clans. I joined him out near the Red Dragon Isle, and we slowly worked together to summon reinforcements.

There was one player there with us whom we didn't recognize. Fully decked out in PKing gear, I began to desperately hope that the rest of my clan would arrive soon. The stranger didn't attack us, but I kept my eye on him while making sure I was quite a distance away. Soon, Mining Golds members began to trickle in, and the fight was on! The PKer who was with Shadowyone and I either ran away or died; I didn't see him again. A few other random players ran in, but quickly left due to the sheer size of our group.

There was a Farming tent! I started gathering supplies, and when I had a full inventory, I started the long journey back. When I was in around Level 20 Wilderness, one of my clanmates warned us that a clan had been seen wandering through the Wilderness. I started madly surging for the wall. No one was taking away my Farming XP!

As soon as I hopped over that Wilderness Wall, I knew it was all over. No more Farming. Ever. That run back to Quercus was long, but the satisfaction of gaining that final level was beyond gratifying. Farming was always a skill that I never though I would get 99 in, and now that it's out of the way, I feel like a Max Cape is finally going to be possible. Level 99 Farming... Finally!

I teleported to Draynor Village and purchased the Skillcape of Farming. I performed the emote a few times before storing it away in my bank with all my other skillcapes. Twenty-one down... Four to go!

I logged off for a bit after this. Here's where the rough day started.

Extremely long story short, my girlfriend and I had run into a few rough patches lately, and I decided that it might be best if we don't see each other for a week. No talking, no texting. It's going to be rough, and I sincerely hope she will still want to see me after the week is up. So I guess I'm alone for a little while... But you guys didn't come here to read about a teenage soap opera :P

So anyways, when I logged back on, it was time to do my dailies. My Player Owned Ports are coming along quite nicely... I'm at 192/200 Lacquer for Death Lotus armour, and just a bit further away for Tetsu!

My daily challenge today was Jadinko hunting. It actually wasn't that bad when I could see a definitive end to the hunting, so I finished the challenge without any problems at all!

What to do... I did a few laps at the Barbarian Agility Course to whittle away at my bonus XP from Duke Horacio. But that grew boring, so I decided to go back to the one thing on Runescape that I've always enjoyed: Clue Scrolls.

I started at Steel Dragons, as they could drop both Hards and Elites. In about fifteen kills, I somehow managed to get two sets of Dragon Platelegs and a Hard Clue! I completed the clue scroll and headed back for more. The next clue took a lot longer to arrive, and when it did, I completed it. I didn't go back to Steel Dragons this time though. Instead, I switched over to Hellhounds.

Although Hellhounds don't drop Elite clues, I figured I'd have more fun with lots of clues rather than low frequency but a chance at Elite. I did TONS of clues here.

The first clue I did was pretty bad loot, but it came with a Court Summons, so after completing that, I headed back to Hellhounds to get another clue.

My next clue's reward was pretty good! It totaled 708,000gp, mostly from the Guthix Platebody I found within the casket. It also came with a Court Summons, but unfortunately I was eligible to attend it until 14 days from now :(

The next clue I completed was actually a pretty good one: a Rune Platebody (g)! This is the reason why I love clue scroll hunting!

I completed two more clues after this one, both giving me not-so-good loot.

I also watched the movie Oblivion today... Excellent movie, I definitely recommend it!

This next week is going to be a long one... But I'm just going to have to stick it out.

Thanks for reading!

Good night! :)

-- August 7, 2013 --

Ahoy!

I logged on today, wondering what I was going to do. I did kind of want to work towards that Max Cape, but I really didn't feel like grinding out any skills. So, I continued to hunt for clues, all day!

I started out at Hellhounds, where I left off yesterday. I found and completed one clue, and was rewarded with a Dragonbody (g), worth 150k! I headed back to Hellhounds again and completed yet another clue scroll, for some rather... poor loot.

I really wanted to do some Elite clues, and the best dropper of those that I could think of were the Strykewyrms family. Unfortunately, these guys are only available whilst on a Slayer task, so I decided that I would start training Slayer in order to get some clue scrolls.

Back when I achieved 99 Slayer, I thought I had left my Nechryael task half-completed, so I was a little surprised when I found I had no current Slayer task. So at Kuradal, I was assigned Grotworms... My first Slayer task since achieving the skillcape.

I headed out to the Grotworm lair in melee gear... The last time I was there, Grotworms were an incredibly easy task, so I was pretty surprised when I found that I was having quite a few difficulties in killing them with my Chaotic Rapiers. I decided that I would grind it out though. I really dislike ranged, so I figured that melee would have to do.

I changed my mind just a few kills later. Melee was taking forever! The main reason why I hate ranged so much is because of my lack of gear. I literally have no high-level ranged armour, so I had to lower myself to using Royal D'hide. Man, I can't wait until my Death Lotus armour is complete...

Killing the Grotworms with ranged wasn't significantly faster, but it was noticeably better.

Throughout this task, I managed to get two clue scrolls. The first one contained a Guthix Page! The second one contained a lot of random junk, but surprisingly added up to a satisfying 120k.

The Grotworm task took quite a while, and when I finally finished it, I headed back to Kuradal for the next task.

Steel Dragons! These guys drop Elite Clues! I threw on my Sea Singer robes and nearly headed to the Brimhaven Dungeon where I had camped them earlier, before I realized that I could simply use Kuradal's Dungeon. Having a high Agility level never felt so good... I remember having to run around the entire dungeon in order to get to these Steel Dragons! Being able to access them in under ten seconds from the beginning of the dungeon was awesome!

Sadly, I didn't get any Elite clues from this task :( I did manage to scavenge two Hard clues though, and both of them rewarded me with loot around the 100k range. Not good, but not bad either.

My next Slayer task was Hellhounds, the masters of clue scrolls. Surpringly, I only got two clue scrolls from these guys also, just like the last two tasks. The first clue scroll contained a Black Cavalier, which to my surprise, sold for about 400k! The second chest contained a Pirate's Hat, which sold for around 200k!

After my Hellhound task, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do clues anymore... I had done tons today, and I think I actually managed to get all the clue scroll hunting out of my system.

So, at the end of the day, I headed back to Neitiznot and began cutting Arctic Pines again. At one point, I left to watch my friend ZeIia achieve 99 Slayer, but I was soon back, gaining XP.

I feel motivated again to finally get this 99 over and done with! When I logged off, I had passed the 12M XP mark, and was under 1M XP until level 99 Woodcutting!

Thanks for reading!

Good night! :)
