After all my Agility was done, I headed back to Barrows and started doing some more runs. I looted Guthan's Helm fairly quickly, but didn't get any more items after that. I completed around ten more runs before logging off for the night.

It's been a tiring couple of days, and it is going to be incredibly wonderful to finally sleep in a bed again and not listen to the irritating drone of mosquitoes and bees :P

Thanks for reading, folks!

Good night! :)

Hi!

I logged on today and started some more Barrows runs! I actually managed to loot Verac's Flail relatively quickly, but then went dry for quite some time. Even though I wasn't getting items however, I was still making decent money just off of the Death and Blood Runes alone. It was a nice break from skilling, that's for sure.

I had been doing Barrows for a couple hours with no luck when I decided it was time to go back to Agility. I still had remnants of Duke Horacio's Bonus XP, so I used that up and then proceeded to deplete my very last Pendant of Agility. No more bonus XP now... Now it was time to grind it the hard way.

The daily tick came about, and with it, a new Agility challenge. As always, it required me to complete twenty-four laps of the Advanced Barbarian Agility Course. I ran around the course mindlessly, and eventually stopped by the Quartermaster in Burthorpe to claim my 25,000xp reward. After a quick stop at my Player-Owned Port, I decided I would check out the Tier 2 rewards at the Battle of Lumbridge.

Now I had stockpiled loads of Divine Tears, mostly from Woodcutting. I only really want the Saradomin items, so I purchased the Saradomin Warpriest Top and Bottom, along with the Tier 2 emote! The emote was a little disappointing, but oh well. I don't have much renown left now, so if I want the highest tier items, I'm going to have to go back to collecting tears!

I really didn't know what to do now... I knew that Jagex had just released a new quest, so I decided to do it! The Death of Chivalry is a fully voice-acted quest; my favourite kind!

This quest was great! I don't normally use guides with new quests, and this was no exception. Sure, it was a bit slower, but it really added to the experience. I had a great time doing the quest, and although the rewards weren't entirely great, the story made up for it!

At this time, my brother had started doing some more Barrows runs, so I decided to test my luck and join him. I completed the minigame over and over again, with no luck at all... So, I decided that gaining Agility XP would be more worth my while. Back tot he course I went!

I slowly gained XP as I completed laps of the course. Agility isn't really so bad when you don't check your XP every lap... Just keep clicking and forget about it. When I logged off tonight, I had about 645,000xp to go until I could finally achieve level 99 Agility.

Thanks for reading!

Good night :)

Hello,

I woke up today and had an unexplainable urge to train Agility. It must be that 98 to 99 motivation kicking in, because I hadn't really ever had that urge before. I logged on and began to click my way around the course, slowly gaining some XP.

It sure was slow! With no bonuses of any kind active, I was getting less than 1000xp per lap! Yet it was somehow relaxing, and I continued to train it while listening to Liquid Mind , an artist I found whilst perusing music on YouTube.

Inevitably, I needed a break, so I headed to Barrows with my brother. I had only done a few runs however, when I realized I hadn't received a Barrows item in a long, long time... I decided that it was time for me to explore other PvM options.

After a few hours' break, I logged back on and began my Agility daily challenge. Compared to how many laps I had to complete already today, twenty-four was nothing! I completed it very quickly, and soon received my Reward XP from the Quartermaster.

My brother has also been looking for PvM options at his level, and he decided that the King Black Dragon could be a good idea. He had tried it on his own and had almost gotten decimated, so I decided I would go with him and we would split the drops.

I had over-prepared big time for this guy. I had brought a Pack Yak full of Rocktails, but I soon realized that I didn't need to eat at all! Soulsplit was good enough for this boss! I quickly banked all the Rocktails I had and headed back with Lonecone.

Since I was a much higher level, I received all the drops. We didn't get anything of notable value, and when we left, I sold everything for about 600k; 300k for each of us!

Now it was time for more Agility. I grinded Agility pretty hard for the next couple hours, and when I logged off, I was only 388,000xp away from level 99! Mod Mark's podcast helped ;)

Thanks for reading!

Good night! :)

@ Calcrulz & Me Eat Book: Thanks!

-- August 17, 2013 --

Hi!

I started off today with more Agility. I still had quite a ways to go until level 99, but I really wanted to get the skillcape before Divination's release. I slowly grinded away at the remaining XP, sharing my misery with other players at the course, such as Yailux and vendor 2213. One guy who I had seen at the course with me every day, N S X, actually achieved 99 Agility! Me Eat Book, who commented above, actually achieved a Completionist Cape today! Congrats buddy!

Agility sure was painful. After 150,000xp, needed a break, so I headed to the Battle of Lumbridge for a bit to have some nice low-click gameplay. I actually only want the emotes and outfit from the Saradomin side, so I don't need nearly as many tears as everyone else.

After only gaining 300 or so tears, I headed back to the course, and then logged off for a break.

A few hours later, I logged back on and began my routine. Around and around the course I went, my mind slowly entering that zombie-like trance that only Agility can induce. I listened to some peaceful music to ease the pain, and surprisingly, that helped!

I really wanted to take a break and go kill Glacors, but I was so close to 99 Agility... Only 230,000xp to go! At this time, I had my daily Agility challenge. Another free 21,000xp! 170,000xp to go... I knew I wasn't going to be able to get that much XP today; I had other things to do. So, I visited Chuck in the Ardougne Zoo for my bi-annual Penguin Point hand-in. I had 30 points saved up, and I dumped them all into Agility. 73,000xp gained!

This was it folks. The last 100,000xp for Agility. Ever. The players who were regulars at the Agility course egged me on as I slowly gained my XP, lap after lap.

It took ages. It felt as slow as when I first achieved level 99 Mining, way back in 2011. When I was finally a mere 300xp away, I whittled the XP down by swinging on the rope swing over and over.

I had a couple friends who wanted to watch me achieve 99 Agility, so I waited at the rope swing for them to come. Soon, Pachocus and Lord Joel26 came by as I swung by the last obstacle I would ever have to click.

99 Agility. 99 Agility. It was finally here. Man, I hadn't felt this good about a 99 in a long, long time. I really earned this one, even though I used pendants, daily challenges and everything I could get my hands on. It was long, tedious and miserable, and now it was over. After talking to Pachocus and Lord Joel26 for a bit, I headed to Brimhaven to buy myself that prestigious cape.

I had always thought that the Agility cape was kind of ugly, but as soon as I put it on, my mind changed instantly. It looked golden. I had worked for this cape for so long, and now I finally had one. Calcrulz stopped by to witness me wearing it for the first time, and I performed the emote as I basked in the glory of finally achieving one of Runescape most difficult 99s.

I only had two 99s left until I could wear a Max Cape. Three, if you count Divination. I think I might go for Hunter next, unless I really enjoy Divination, in which case, I'll get that first. Either way, I think Smithing will be my last 99.

The next step was to visit the Quartermaster and turn off Agility challenges. Now I'll only be getting Hunter or Dungeoneering challenges! I think Hunter will be a pretty fast skill; With the daily challenge giving you 45,000 bonus XP and Big Chinchompa D&D giving you a daily 80,000xp, that was a daily 120,000xp that you don't even have to work for! Add on other bonus XP gifts, and Hunter will be a breeze.

I had to log off soon, so I figured I should do one of my daily challenges. I'll be gone tomorrow on a rock climbing trip, so I didn't want to miss out on a challenge! I quickly did my Dungeoneering challenge, claimed the XP, and logged out for the night.

Finally, 99 Agility! Thanks for reading!

Good night! :)
