Quest done - this was probably oen that most of you would enjoy if you haven't done it already!

*slight spoilers*

I thoroughly enjoyed this quest - exactly what I would expect from a bottle quest. Not very long but packed with great lore development. I also liked that we got to see clue scrolls connected to Runescape through lore in this quest; that was completely unexpected to me.

The only feedback I have for Jagex is that the quest was a bit confusing to start off with. I know that it was about clue scrolls, but I wish we just had a bit more dialogue to help the quest flow better. I know this was likely done intentionally, but I would of enjoyed it a bit more.

Yeah, I wasn't really the biggest fan of this quest, I found the story confusing and illogical at times, and the way you start the quest is ridiculously obscure, I would've preferred it if it was started in a similar way to Regicide, with some guy appearing in front of you and handing you the scroll or something.

In other news I beat one of the more difficult requirements for the MQC, filling the Codex with 110 souls, it's incredibly long and frustrating and I'm glad I don't have to around killing creatures that haven't had an update in 13 years.

Months... many months.

Also the build the backlog poll comes out later this month, and there's several quests on the list. I don't know what exactly, but if we get more quests than last year I'll be happy

Yeah I saw the list of quests on there, I'm interested to see which ones pass. I'm going to keep track of the poll till it closes.

On a side note, I'm really disappointed that they're shutting down RS Classic - though, I'm not entirely surprised. Jagex has been in massive cut back mode as of late. In addition to RS Classic, they're also shutting down Funorb & Chronicle plus we had a membership hike recently! It appears to be a business decision, nothing more than that. There are probably too many legal risks of having it running than its worth having around.

It seems Jagex has been in a consistent 'create and destroy' with their products over the years; with only RS3 and OSRS surviving as their main source revenue. Even RS3 has been in decline in regards to quality over the last 2 years in particular. I'm hopeful thing will change - but I haven't really been hugely impressed with 2018 thus far.

What are your thoughts everyone?

I managed to beat Dragon Slayer on classic, and would've completed more quests if herblaw requirements didn't get in the way. However I've been told there were more and more bugs appearing, and they had no easy way to fix these, it's sad but I'm surprised it lasted this long.

Funorb hadn't been shown love for years, as far as I remember Arcanists and Armies of Gielinor were great, but the forums were full of malware.

Supposedly, Jagex are hoping to get a big boost from RS Mobile, that or their putting resources into that list of side projects they showed on twitter a while ago, something called Runescape RPG or something like that was on there. But as long as we keep getting quests, I'm happy.

Good observations Magejake!

I think that mobile will definitely boost revenues for the game, but that will be short lasted I feel unless they add some other kind of revenue stream to their business model. With both old school and RS3 on mobile, I can see a lot of players getting back into it; I've even had some old friends come back after many years. I'm interested to see when they want to release the beta for, but I have a feeling that Runefest might be a great opportunity for them if they can get it done before then.

I guess time will tell, but I'm hopeful that this game will continue to strive.
