Original message details are unavailable.
The fact that the "Salt in the Wound" rework scored so low is disappointing. The quest is terrible.

I agree, but I'm not sure its worth the development time anymore (especially with the tight development time Jagex seems to have now a days). I feel its better that we just move on from it and make sure it doesn't happen again.

Those of you who saw the backlog poll results may have noticed that the most voted for medium update is for a quest that would require 99 hunter.

Jagex aren't playing around now, you thought you were comfortable with your skills in the mid 80's, forget it. You've had it too easy for too long, you thought you didn't need to grind past 90, think again. Of course if you've already got a Max Cape then this isn't a big deal. Unlike me who has 89 hunter.

Also, the Achievements tab lies!!! It doesn't say you need 90 hunter to start Jed Hunter, I've had to spend hours catching Draconic Jadinkos!!!

^ I do recall the days when I didn't have a max cape and the controversies around the rising quest requirements. Now that I do have one, I obviously don't mind as much if they make 99 skill requirements for a quest.

However, I do sympathize with your views. I don't really know anymore where we draw the line for this matter. I would actually like to have some higher skill requirements. However, I also understand the argument that it blocks a lot of the player base out from playing the quest.

I like Jagex's workaround for this in recent years, where they make additional rewards for players with higher levels after the quest (such as the murals in Pieces of Hate). I would like them to go further with this, such as making an element of the quest that requires 99 in a skill but isn't mandatory. Maybe this is still a good workaround to having a 99 requirement to 'start' the quest?

Did anyone clean up Edgeville? Personally, I feel old when I found out that Rotm came out 7 years ago... it really doesn't feel that long ago. I can't believe its been in that shape for that period of time!

In any case, I enjoyed the clean up. I liked how we had to do a bit of running around, but I wish there was a bit more lore attached to it. However, I can't really complain tbh, it was a nice little update. Plus, the city looks beautiful again!

So the Summer Updates are:

Elite Dungeons
Player Owned Farms
Solak
Skillcape Perks
More Work on RS Mobile

So yeah, this is the stuff they want to advertise ahead of time to get people to buy membership when the price increases. They obviously aren't interested in attracting questers. Shame.

I am excited by the first 2 though, especially since I need to train to 119 dung for MQC.

^ Yeah, I was a bit disappointed there wasn't even a Quest mentioned in the post to be honest.

I'm excited as well for the first two. I am also excited about the RS mobile but I have a hard time knowing when that is ever going to be out. I appreciate that they want to get it right; but the fact that they're not committing on general outlook means there is much more work to be done.

Well the game jam stream the other day showed off many things, such as Mod Shoguns poor taste in pizza (Banana, Curry Leaf, Chicken, Nuts for toppings), cosplay conga lines and Temple of Aminishi elite dungeon.

But they did mention they've made scripts for 3 quests that may have development starting on them.
