Ah yes, the Yuk Track crashed my client too. I'm glad that it has now been fixed, but it was more than a little upsetting. Of course, the track helps break up daily tasks by offering something different to do -which I welcome- but I still feel some of what's required is a bit... much. Personally, I much preferred the Artisan event.

ANYWAY. Would you like some positive news, Aslon?!?

Last night (with the help of two penguin buddies and two clannies) I finally unlocked the Completionist Cape! All that I needed was the darn music track from BA. This was ironic for me as it was a song, but also because it was a reference to a musical named for the town in which I grew up. Odd! O_o

Congratulations on your gains and Dak Track work. :)

Wow Impressive!

I had no idea you had never been a member until i was reading your thread.
Nice accomplishments

Many thanks, Ladyolake! :)

Indeed, I've been playing RS since 2004, but I've never played as a member. I've visited parts of P2P, via gnomecopters. Those were fun. Jagex should consider bringing those back. Normally, I don't care for advertising member content in F2P - but I made an exception for these. I guess it was because the gnomecopters didn't interfere with playing the free game. However, if you wanted to take a harmless tour of several member areas, you could just hop in a 'copter and go see the sights! :)

I have a lot of players on my friends list who are P2P. On occasion one will try to convince me to get membership - but I'm happy in F2P. It's more casual, certainly, but there's actually quite a bit to do. I've not yet reached all my goals.

I also preferred the Artisan event. I almost got the screwdriver override. I had all the other materials, but I needed another 109 patches. Maybe next time, since it appears this event, or a similar one, will be available in the future.

I still like your idea for a Prayer event, but the level 3 skillers would object to it, most likely. Maybe a Runecrafting event? How about a Cooking/Fishing or Firemaking/Woodcutting event? A Mining/Smithing event would ROCK! :P

You got it! That is awesome, Trewavas! Congratulations! Yes, that is some seriously cool irony. Well, at least it's cool now that you have your cape! ^_^

I've been working on Yak Track Task #9 (to chop 170 logs) by chopping yews in Edgeville. Once my pack was filled with 28 logs, I would take the logs to a spot outside the bank and build a bonfire. I performed this procedure four times.

Upon burning yew log #43 (just over halfway through inventory #2), I reached Firemaking level 85! :) At this point, I had chopped 56/170 logs. I went back to work chopping logs for inventory #3. When I had chopped 65/170 yew logs, I got Woodcutting level 85! :)

My Total Level is 1582 (Virtual Level 1585).

Now all my F2P skills are level 85 or better, except for Prayer (at level 84).

As I've seen happen with previous Yak Track tasks, gaining a Woodcutting level while working on a Woodcutting task changed the task. I saw this in the chat box messages I received updating me on my progress. I got a message informing me I was 60/170 done with the task. Five logs later, I gained a level. Five logs after that, the task had updated to be 70/165 complete. I now had to chop five fewer logs than when I started this task!

After burning four inventories of yew logs, I chopped a fifth inventory and banked those logs. Therefore, I am currently at 140/165 logs chopped for this task. Only 25 to go!

It's been a productive month. :D

Kerapac Track update:

I more than completed Task #9 by chopping 168/165 yew logs in Edgeville.

I banked the logs, then teleported to Falador. I have entered the Artisans' Workshop to start on Task #10 - to smith 55 items (steel or better). I am making rune arrowheads, which won't surprise anyone who has followed my progress during previous Yak Tracks. So far, I have made 15/55 sets of arrowheads.

The other option would have been to catch 135 fish (salmon or better).

Hmm,you could always mix in a little skilling with a prayer event, like Firemaking or something. The one thing I liked about the Artisan event was the fact that they graphically updated somewhere. Okay, it was only one building, but I have always argued for that approach. Why keep hosting events in Burthorpe, when you can use them as an excuse to update a building or small town?

With that in mind, the Monastery, Barbarian Village and Makeover Mage house are perfect and ripe for an event. The Crafting Guild is too; such a shame it wasn't fully updated last time.

Thanks for your kind words! It certainly was nice to finish off comp, particularly s I have been waiting for it since July. I had my penguin friends to help, but nobody else. With my clan formed, I managed to twist a few arms. Clan leader privilege strikes again! Haha.

Once again, well done on your gains. :)

Sounds good to me. I just think the level 3 skillers would avoid a Prayer event, so that they don't become level 4 skillers. :P Personally, I'd welcome a Prayer event.

Updating an area in the game alongside an event is a great idea, and Jagex has done this in the past, at Falador and Port Sarim, for example. You listed some good options for future revamps.

Leadership has its perks, eh? ;) Nice.

Thanks! I'm going to focus a little more on the Yak Track. Maybe I can make good use of some Prayer tasks. That's the skill I need to be training more.

Kerapac Track update:

I more than completed Task #10 by smithing 56/55 sets of rune arrowheads, which amounted to another 4,200 arrowheads for my collection.

I've begun gathering green dragonleather to use for Task #11 - to craft 420 pieces of ranged armor (snakeskin or better). The other option was to cook 1,410 pieces of food (pike or better).

Kerapac Track update:

I have finished Task #11 by crafting 420 pairs of green dragonhide boots. This earned me Thok's hand-me-down sword and two cinder cores. I tried to sell the boots on The Grand Exchange, but even at 600 gp each they weren't selling.

Task #12 looks to be just miserable. I can either burn 1,435 logs (willow or better) or complete 15 floors in Dungeoneering. I may well skip this one. I'd prefer not to use one of my two free skips so soon - but I'd also prefer to not burn logs for days or to go Dungeoneering. :@

Yeah, we're back...back on the Yak Track.

Although I was strongly considering it, I ultimately decided not to use a skip token for Kerapac Track Task #12. Instead, I have been burning yew logs on bonfires outside the Edgeville bank. As I burned 1,227/1,435 logs I reached Firemaking level 86! :)

My Total Level is 1583 (Virtual Level 1586).
