When I logged in this evening, I needed 17,584 XP to get to the next Ranged level, and 43,785 XP to get to the next Fletching level.

I won three shining large prismatic lamps from the Dragon's Dozen TH promo.

I rubbed the first lamp to gain 55,711 Ranged XP, and to reach Ranged level 97!

I rubbed the second lamp to gain 55,711 Fletching XP, and to reach Fletching level 97!

I rubbed the third lamp to gain 55,711 Magic XP.

My Total Level is 1720 (Virtual Level 1734).

I am 50 skill levels from being a maxed free player (not counting Necromancy).

My list of skill levels on page 116 has been updated.

Now I have four F2P skills at level 96. They are:

Firemaking
Magic
Runecrafting
Woodcutting

When I logged in this evening, I only needed 1,426 XP to reach the next Magic level.

I mined a full inventory of gold ores at the mine north of Al Kharid, then used my Explorer's Ring 4 to superheat 27 of these 28 ores into gold bars. Each charge of superheat is worth 53 Magic XP, so upon casting my final daily superheat spell, I had earned 1,431 XP - which is 5 XP more than I needed to reach Magic level 97!

I went on to use the ring's daily alchemy charges on 45 gold amulets I crafted from these gold bars and a second inventory of gold bars I smelted later this evening.

My Total Level is 1721 (Virtual Level 1735).

I am now 49 skill levels from being a maxed free player (not counting Necromancy). 23 of the 49 levels I still need are in Dungeoneering.

My list of skill levels on page 116 has been updated.

Now I have three F2P skills at level 96: Firemaking, Runecrafting, and Woodcutting.

This evening, I completed Daily Challenges in Dungeoneering, Fletching, and Runecrafting.

I skipped the Dungeoneering task, fletched 200 rune arrows, and siphoned 9 air runes from a cyclone inside the Runespan. When I entered the Runespan, I was 19,056 XP away from the next Runecrafting level. Once I finished siphoning those 9 air runes, I only needed 18,885 XP.

Redeeming these challenges awarded me 24,578 Runecrafting XP, which was more than I needed to reach Runecrafting level 97!

My Total Level is 1722 (Virtual Level 1736).

I am now 48 skill levels from being a maxed free player (not counting Necromancy). 23 of the 48 levels I still need are in Dungeoneering.

My list of skill levels on page 116 has been updated.

Now I have just two F2P skills at level 96: Firemaking and Woodcutting.

I completed Daily Challenges in Smithing, Woodcutting, and Fletching.

I smithed 300 rune arrowheads. Then, I chopped 10 yew logs. I carved 6 of these logs into unstrung yew shieldbows, then strung them. When I finished chopping those yew logs, I only needed 16,230 XP to level Woodcutting.

Redeeming these challenges awarded me 24,578 Woodcutting XP, which was more than I needed to reach Woodcutting level 97!

My Total Level is 1723 (Virtual Level 1737).

When I logged in this evening, I needed 7,110 XP to get to the next Firemaking level.

I completed Daily Challenges in Mining, Runecrafting, and Firemaking.

I mined two full inventories of gold ores north of Al Kharid. Next, I crafted 164 water runes from 27 rune essence at the Water Altar. I teleported to Varrock, where I sold the water runes on the Grand Exchange. While at the G.E., I took 10 yew logs from my bank and used them to build a bonfire. When I finished burning the yew logs, I only needed 4,567 XP to level Firemaking.

Redeeming these challenges awarded me 24,578 Firemaking XP, which was more than I needed to reach Firemaking level 97!

My Total Level is 1724 (Virtual Level 1738).

I am now 46 skill levels from being a maxed free player (not counting Necromancy). 23 of the 46 levels I still need are in Dungeoneering - exactly half.

When I logged in tonight, I needed 147,978 XP to get to the final Crafting level. Meanwhile, Kristen was 131,274 XP away from getting to the same Crafting level.

Kristen and I each brought 300 protean hides to the Grand Exchange on World 3. She had an advantage, since she had nearly 2.5 million BXP in Crafting, while I had none. Kristen gave me a head start as I began using portable crafters to work with protean dragonhides. After I had gone through 120 protean hides, she started working through her stack of protean hides. It didn't take long for her to catch, then overtake me. With 146 protean hides remaining in her inventory, Kristen reached Crafting level 99! Exactly 15 minutes later, just as I used up my last protean hide, I ended up reaching Crafting level 99!

My Total Level is 1725 (Virtual Level 1739).

I am now 45 skill levels from being a maxed free player (not counting Necromancy). 23 of the 45 levels I still need are in Dungeoneering.

This is Kristen's first 99. It is my fifth 99, following Smithing, Mining, Fishing, and Cooking.

It's funny. Throughout much of my early time in RS, Crafting was among my lowest skills. I would not have expected it would be the fifth skill I would get to 99.

In real life, Kristen is way more artistic than I am. Truth be told, if I manage to draw a straight line using a ruler, I am doing good. So, it feels right she got to 99 Crafting before me. Of course, it was only by 15 minutes, but still...I have a feeling she won't let me forget it.

Interestingly enough, now all of my F2P skills are either at level 97 or level 99, not counting virtual levels. Out of the 12 skills I have at level 97, I only need 2 more levels in 11 of them.

Then we have Dungeoneering. Ugh. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!
