Yak Track - Journey To Iaia update:

I completed Task #2 by Skilling and Killing 20 times. I finished this task shortly after finishing my Daily Challenges in Fishing, Firemaking, and Runecrafting. After catching 14 crayfish and burning 10 yew logs on a bonfire, I entered the Runespan. On the starting island, I siphoned 5 air runes from an air essling and 3 more from a cyclone to complete the final challenge of the day. Then I floated to the nearby island where the vine ladder is located. I climbed up to the middle level. As I began siphoning from a body esshound, I completed the task. I remained in the Runespan until I had siphoned 200 points worth of runes.

I received the Ilujankan Traveller's Wand weapon override.

For Task #3, I can earn 138,000 Fletching XP or Skill and Kill 20 times.

Again, I will be Skilling and Killing for this task. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I completed Task #3 by Skilling and Killing 20 times. I finished this task while mining the precious gem rocks inside the Al Kharid resource dungeon, cutting the gems, then fletching these emeralds, rubies, and diamonds into bolt tips.

I received two small dwarven toolboxes.

For Task #4, I can burn 550 logs (willow or better) or Skill and Kill 20 times.

I might burn some logs as part of my Skilling and Killing for this task. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I completed Task #4 by Skilling and Killing 20 times. I finished this task by burying a set of bones inside Edgeville Dungeon. I burned 10 yew logs on a bonfire to advance the Firemaking option 10/550.

I received a medium prismatic star, which I used to gain 21,293 Smithing BXP.

For Task #5, I can cook 500 foods (pike or better) or Skill and Kill 20 times.

I expect I will do some cooking as part of my Skilling and Killing for this task. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I completed Task #5 by Skilling and Killing 20 times. After I had Skilled and Killed 10/20 times, I cooked 196 tuna on two portable ranges I deployed in front of the Lumbridge Market bank chest. I cooked six and a half inventories of raw tuna. However, since I managed to cook 14 double portions of tuna on the extended portable range, this was equal to seven inventories of tuna. It was at this point that my extended range expired. I then teleported to Al Kharid, where I cooked another 154 raw tuna (five and a half inventories) to advance the Cooking option 350/500 and the Skilling and Killing option 18/20. Then I teleported to Edgeville, where I finished this task after chopping 11 yew logs. I chopped one additional log before I banked all 12 yew logs and claimed my reward.

I received a medium celebration lamp, which I used to gain 16,526 Runecrafting XP and 826 XP in my other F2P skills.

For Task #6, I can earn 168,315 Smithing XP or Skill and Kill 30 times.

The Skilling and Killing option is already getting more grindy. I just might do some protean elder rune smithing for this task. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I completed Task #6 after earning more than 168,315 Smithing XP by doing some protean elder rune smithing at the Artisans' Workshop in Falador. I used up 330 protean bars for this task. After 300 bars, I had earned 159.000 Smithing XP. After 318 bars, I had finished the task, but I went on to use up the 12 protean bars remaining in my backpack. I advanced the Skilling and Killing option 10/30.

I received a small protean pack, which I opened to gain 75 protean bars.

While I was at the Artisans' Workshop, I also completed Daily Challenges in Smithing and in Fletching by smithing 300 rune arrowheads and fletching 200 rune arrows.

For Task #7, I can mine 210 ores (coal or better) or Skill and Kill 30 times.

I will be going to the Mining Guild for this task. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I more than completed Task #7 by mining 60 runite ores, 60 luminite, and 100 coal in and around the Mining Guild. I mined 220/210 ores. I also found 35 geodes in the process.

I received a medium prismatic star, which I used to gain 21,293 Smithing BXP.

For Task #8, I can earn 150,178 Crafting XP or Skill and Kill 30 times.

This evening, I was only 9,793 XP away from the next Runecrafting level when I logged in.

I completed Daily Challenges in Fishing, Crafting, and Runecrafting. I caught 14 crayfish behind the church in Lumbridge. Next, I crafted 10 accursed urns in Edgeville. Then I crafted 81 body runes at the Body Altar. This also completed the Skilling and Killing option on my current Yak Track task (see my next post for details on that). When I was done, I was only 9,591 XP away from the next Runecrafting level.

When I redeemed today's challenges, I gained 22,536 Runecrafting XP, which was more than enough for me to reach Runecrafting level 94! :)

My Total Level is 1686 (Virtual Level 1698).

Woodcutting is the only F2P skill I have left at level 93. The rest are all at level 94 or higher. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!
