Day 18 - Still Not Lucky

More barbarian fishing and Wintertodt today, almost reached 55 construction, and still haven't received an axe or the pet. Tomorrow going to continue questing once I finish the construction level-up. I'm gonna miss tanking mere 1s at Wintertodt though, it was pretty relaxing while it lasted. :P

Day 19 - Bone Voyage

For hunter, melee and woodcutting training, one quest stood in the way: bone voyage and the access to fossil island. For hunter, it unlocks the fastest earlygame hunter training, as well as my favorite herbiboars for endgame, both of which also aid in herblore training. So, after helping the archeologists at the digsite to build the ship and navigating it to the fossil island, I began doing bird house runs for hunter exp and bird nests.

...hopefully this time, Herbi won't take so long to get. :P

In other news:
-Wintertodt is now finished; dragon axe/phoenix did not drop in the end. :(
-Other completed quests today were: Witch's house, Rag and bone man, Nature spirit, the Barcrawl miniquest, Vampire slayer and the Feud.

Day 20 - Round & Round

So today, I wanted to get some enchanted jewelry for teleports at last, but I ran into a dilemma: to make them, I need the unenchanted versions first, which require gold bars to make. I have the gold ore and I could train to 40 smithing to turn them into bars... yet without goldsmithing gauntlets, I'd be throwing away tons of smithing exp by doing so. Getting said gauntlets requires a magic level I don't have, which would be best trained with quests and at Salarin the Twisted. For the former, the teleport jewelry could help save a lot of time, and for the latter, I'm just short of the agility level necessary yet.

So TL;DR, in order to make teleport jewelry without a sacrifice, I could really use some teleport jewelry... :P

In other news:
-Completed more quests: Elemental workshops I & II, Tourist trap and Queen of thieves.
-Received a jester cape from a beginner clue, 1/15 beginner unique rewards.

Day 21 - Uncut Diamond

It seems to me like every ironman faces that one particular item in the beginning of their journey, which would be so simple to get without the ironman mode restrictions, but which is very annoyingly out of their reach because of said restrictions. For me, that turned out to be an uncut diamond.

I'd checked the requirements for fairy rings, and I met them all now, so I thought "why not make my life so much easier for travel?" and went to complete the fairy questline... up until I hit the part of making magic secateurs. One of the items needed for it (randomly chosen) was an uncut diamond, and I had foolishly cut all the ones I'd received from Wintertodt. Getting a new one proved very challenging:

1. Mining it from gem rocks would've required completing shilo village quest, in addition to the RNG involved in mining it from the rocks. This would've been okay, had I owned a charged amulet of glory, without which mining said rocks is significantly slower.

2. Thieving it would've required a very high thieving level + cave goblin quests + RNG, so it was out of the question as well.

3. The only monster that I could realistically get it from was a quest monster from one small favor, which also required shilo village to start. This way was the only guaranteed way to get it.

So because the option #3 was the only 100% way to get it, in addition to progressing towards the quest cape, I chose it. After hours of travelling across Gielinor, I finally got the damn gem, and became a friend of the fairies to gain access to the fairy rings.

In other news:
-Other completed quest today was: the Depths of despair.
-Achieved 100% Hosidius favour.

Day 22 - Recipe for Disaster

First things first, 1000 total level achieved!

Secondly, the journey to barrows gloves has begun: 2/10 subquests completed. I always love the cutscene that plays at the start, it feels so unique yet also hilarious with the random events and everything. :P

In other news:
-Other completed quests today: Mountain daughter, Icthlarin's little helper, Tribal totem, the Golem, Demon slayer, Shadow of the storm, Creature of fenkenstrain, the Lost tribe, Death to the dorgeshuun.

Day 23 - Learning Quen

Monkey madness draws near, so I had to look into getting the protection prayers today: I decided to train at Ectofuntus using babydragon bones, so after helping the ghosts of Port Phasmatys in Ghosts ahoy and slaying baby green dragons in the Brimhaven dungeon for their bones, I managed to learn how to protect from all combat styles, akin to the Quen sign. :P

In other news:
-More questing today: the Giant dwarf, Another slice of HAM, and Spirits of the Elid.

Day 24 - Dragon Scimitar

It's really brutal how Ape Atoll doesn't even let you finish conversation with an NPC before a tiny scorpion whams you for an 8 and poisons you, let alone the hell that is the tunnel underground, but despite all that, I persevered and reached every ironman's dream: acquiring the dragon scimitar. I can't wield it yet, but soon will be able to. It'll be BiS for a while. :P

In other news:
-Also completed the Hand in the sand quest, which helped me reach the crafting level to craft an amulet of strength.

Day 25 - Journey to Crandor

Witchers don't usually take dragon contracts, both for the danger involved as well as out of respect towards the majestic and usually sentient beasts, however Elvarg was too hostile to be left to do as she pleased. It turned out that fighting a dragon with dragon wasn't that difficult though, and Crandor is once again that much safer. :P

(I wanted to use the beheading as an image but of course I had to press the wrong button for screen capture and I missed it... oh well.)

In other news:
-More completed quests: Prince Ali rescue, Ratcatchers, the Ascent of Arceuus, Eagles' peak, Pirate's treasure, Sheep herder, Romeo & Juliet and the Corsair curse.

Day 26 - Globetrotter

Today's questing was pretty much all over the place, probably one of the most productive questing days for me so far. The following quests were completed today:

-A Soul's bane
-Making history (including the enchanted key miniquest)
-In search of the Myreque
-Shades of Mort'ton
-In aid of the Myreque
-Wanted! (including enter the abyss miniquest at the same time)
-Troll stronghold
-Troll romance
-Horror from the deep
-Tower of life
-Forgettable tale...
-Garden of tranquility
-RfD: Mountain dwarf (3/10 subquests done)

For some reason, garden of tranquility is very satisfying to complete for me, to see the Varrock palace garden permanently transformed from a weed garden into something truly beautiful. :P

During the aiding of the Myreque, I ran to the problem of requiring a mithril bar without being able to make one myself or otherwise get it without monster killing, so I had to go with the best option for me: killing chaos dwarves. They drop them uncommonly, in addition to commonly dropping a key to a chest in the wilderness that guarantees a mithril bar, yet I didn't need to kill but one and I already got the uncommon mithril bar straight away!
