About combat changes:

Great that you're having a beta for them, but at the same time could you also take a look at PvM integrity? It's currently getting more and more common that players use macros, as they're not getting punished for it (even casually using macros on stream has been a thing for ages). I feel like adding more switching than we already have, on top of the increasing macro-abuse, would honestly do more bad than good for the PvM community as a whole.

Either start being more strict regarding marco-abusing, or flat-out implement a macro interface in-game.

They should just ban the PvMers using macros. It is against the rules and gives players an unfair advantage. You either play fairly or you don't get to play at all. A macro interface is absolutely ridiculous..
...
...
Nope, I agree that there should either be an official way to automate switches (or a public statement allowing further than 1:1 input per macro) ingame or a way to prevent people from doing so altogether. Whether or not you personally care about other games is irrelevant.

An ingame interface or anything else that supports macroing should never exist. People should indeed be prevented from macroing altogether. That is why attempting to do, despite it being against the rules should result in a permanent ban.

Original message details are unavailable.
Effectively, you can now put the lime in the coconut.

*golf clap* It's the little things that make you smile.

Original message details are unavailable.
Players now have a significantly improved chance of obtaining the slayer skill pet from squishing scarabs in Menaphos.

Nice. Even more reason to go out on a squishing spree.

Original message details are unavailable.
Robust glass once again defaults to crafting potion flasks instead of ogre flasks.

Hallelujah.

Overall, not a bad set of patches all things considered.

No Remora's necklace fix? How sad!!! :(

You broke Remora's necklace in F2P when you changed the teleport location! The new teleport should have been added as an additional option, as now it doesn't work in F2P at all. This also broke the lore that defined the old teleport location at White Knights' camp. This can be fixed easily by offering two teleport locations for the necklace, the old and the new one.

You gotta be kidding with the weapon diversity changes.

Zero changes to ranged basically, nothing that is good for that matter, and on top of that, you make magic even more powerful. Do you have any idea how chaotic Pvp is going to be? People will camp Magic/earth spells for days.

Magic is already the most overpowered style, and now you make it even stronger by buffing it, and don't even care for perhaps just giving ranged a single debuff? BRO. WHAT. THE. ****.

Did we read the same changes? Knives will allow you to get FIFTY PERCENT MORE ABILITIES at the cost of 5% dmg and accuracy. The DPS boost is insane! (It is guaranteed to get nerfed during the beta, because atm it's just beyond overpowered. I'd bet t70 knives would beat t92 anything) Shortbows have a flat 6% increase if you're good with positioning, 2h crossbows got a massive buff for high def bosses, shieldbows makes cade cost 70% adren with ring of vigour.

I honestly have no clue how you could read that post and think that there were no buffs to ranged.

It's -5 tiers, not -5%, big difference. 1.2s global cooldown is far from a 50% dps increase, ability cooldowns still stay the same so your rotations will lean more towards weaker, low-cooldown abilities like piercing shot/needle strike. Shortbows is fair, melee distance often brings more danger too so 6% is still kinda meh. There are very few bosses where you can stand still and benefit from the accuracy boost from 2h cbows, and even if, magic/melee would still be better considering they have affinity buffs and generally more dps. Shieldbows are alright as a back-up when your adren management is messed up but besides that still kinda lame.

Speak for yourself! Fantastic fixes in my opinion. Just because they may not affect you, doesn't mean they're not worthwhile.

I've been playing RuneScape since classic, and the player-base is so ridiculously toxic and out of touch these days. Jagex are one of the few MMORPG teams that actually give a damn about the quality of their 20 year old game.

Do you ever listen to your playerbase, who's asking for these changes? Can you please focus on some of the things that players have been anticipating/asking to see for years?! If not, continue as usual.. in which case I'm wondering how you're going to address worsening switchscape, and if weapons will actually be diversified or if you're only making changes to the few listed weapons.
