Apparently, pointer input devices on Android do not work (neither Bluetooth nor USB), regardless of what phone or tablet is being used. I thought I would hold my phone in my left hand, and my Steam Controller (in Bluetooth mode) in my right hand, and just use the trackpad on it to make it easier to click on things, since the UI hasn't been scaled well for touch at all (particularly NPC dialog boxes). Sadly, the OSRS mobile client seems to ignore pointer inputs altogether. Many people on Reddit have reported the same thing for normal wireless mice on Android tablets.
Is there any word on when we might see touch input enabled on OSRS mobile? Personally, I don't need anything special added to the controls, I can live with having to click and drag to move the camera. I'd just like the ability to use pointer devices. I eventually wanted to get a tiny wireless trackball "finger mouse" (I see them used for presentations a lot). Those would be pretty great for OSRS Mobile, because they're so small and can fit right in your pocket, and since Android has had native plug-and-play Mouse support for over 7 years now. Pretty much anything you can buy would just work.
Thanks for the hard work on OSRS Mobile! It's been fantastic so far.
