Still currently in the planning stages of this, but hoping to get it up and running (at least in part) by the end of January. I'm just posting this to notify folks, to get feedback on whether there are any times that are unreasonable to hog, and whether there's anyone who'd be interested in helping out with any of it.
What is it?
The idea is to have a regular series of events for the playing of Minigames. Each of the featured Minigames will have one day assigned to them, and the playing community for it will host an event on that day, at the same time(s), every week.
Obviously, there are no more than 7 who will potentially be taking part (so far 3 are almost certain to take part, and another two have indicated possible interest, and a further one is fairly likely to be interested, when asked).
The only general rules are that games have to be played, not AFK-d, and that experienced players should do their best to make sure teams are evenly matched in skill, and help out any newcomers who wish to learn about the game, and participate.
A couple of the Minigames involved already have systems in place that are designed to give supported learning of the basics, to newcommers, along with graduated progress, and reward incentives.
These will be revised, to better fit in with the events (they will probably be mostly done in sessions before, or after the main event, so as to best allow hosting of fair games, during the events), and some of the Minigames' Communities which don't currently have such systems, may choose to design a set to suit their own Minigames.
Hopefully much enjoyment will be had.
