Those are the proposed drop rates, at least 220x rarer than they were before. This entire discussion of stats is moot unless they drop rates are fixed or Reach's typo corrected. They could make the Elysian have the powers of a rotten potato and it wouldn't matter since nobody in this lifetime would get one. the math is extremely broken. he also says the drop rate order is spec > arcane > ely > divine. You need more than 8 slots on the sigil table to make that work or you will inevitably result in at least 2 of the sigils having the same drop rate.


Well, 4 slots spectral, 2 slots arcane, 1 slot ely, 1 slot divine = 8. But he contradicts himself in another post by saying that divine is marginally rarer than elysian. In order for this to be true, the sigil table would need to have more than 8 slots. I am really hoping that some peon gave him some bad info.

- Divine reduces damage by 20% instead of 25%, 1/2 of reduce damage is drained from prayer as always


I agree. People forget how overpowered the Elysian is now. If you take a look at my previous post, http://services.runescape.***/m=forum/c=rZ1r5EoYqxI/forums***?380,381,94,65474689,199,333050295#199 , and do the maths, the Elysian is only 1/2 a brew weaker in terms of effective healing.

Both shields need a rework, not just the Divine. In fact, I'd say the Elysian is more overpowered now. Even though it has potentially 7.5% less mitigation, it lacks the prayer drain, which is now 50% per hit received.

Agreed.

This makes absolutely no sense. Fewer players = fewer players killing the boss. Also this is 07, it's much more difficult to kill corp than it is or was in the past few years. It doesn't need to be any more rare than it already is. I'm not going to vote yes to an item than .5% of the population can obtain.

I think to be safe you should also poll to see if people would rather the spectral and arcane to be upgrades for the wilderness shields. Many people are concerned about them, even though the shields are 60 def and spirits are 75. Some people don't care, which I can understand considering how dangerous it is to get all 3 pieces for the wildy shields.
Also the Divine should have an additional poll for 15% damage soak 100% chance and Ely 20% soak 70% chance for those who cry OP.

Funny the ones who cry the shields OP are the same people who want * claws. #doublestandards.

and not only would it need more than 8 for that to be true, it would need significantly more. If ely was "slightly" more common (2) and divine was set to 1 it would be twice as rare to get a divine.

Also, the whole statistic here is WAY off any experimental drop rates logged by players. it always resulted in ely being much rarer than the divine.

The drop rate needs to be better. I remember going almost 2 months straight with a 4 man team and eventually got a spectral... (Remember how it is also soo much harder to kill it in 07 without turmoil/ovloads) Also With such a small population compared to the amount of people before it will take ages for these shields to come into the game.

The date near your name doesn't mean anything really. Not everyone played continuously.

I have been playing since 2004 myself, but I took a break, that's why it shows this date. Oh, another thing, many quit on 20 November 2012 remember.

Amazing. Can't wait to start corp hunting. One issue that remains is that most players upon receiving a sigil as a drop will scam it because they're pixel hungry. We need LS or some variant of that. My clan and surely others have proposed rules for corp hunting such as 2+ bananas only at corp masses/teams. While this prevents some damage from being done, I still don't like the idea of someone else having 1b+ in their inventory. Nerds get flighty. Please address this issue. These are just going to be too expensive to make it rational to leave us in charge of splitting. Someone is bound to scam and ruin the fun for 6+ others. Thanks for reading, can't wait to see this baws in the game and ahield s back; just wanna see that they are implemented in a safe and rational way.
