Really? Lava whip and cosmetic overrides? I thought we were told this wouldn't happen?
You guys really have turned this into a private server type game.
Honestly I was waiting for bounty hunter and after seeing some of these it's disappointing to see cosmetic overrides and those like items being put into the game. I guess maybe i'm one of those people who fights for the factor of keeping this game sacred to what you said during release - that it'd be oldschool. A shiny whip doesn't do anything but make kiddy bankstanders happier on fashionscape.
Oh well i've accomplished everything I wanted to anyway, and pking is dead content as is, adding even more separation and silly items like this isn't gonna add to that.

I don't see how this harms the game. I like the idea to give options. This is by all means a private server, dedicated to us, the loyal players of Runescape. Regardless, I do not see how this harms you nor anyone else, unless it was offered in a more harmful manner: I.E: Micro Transactions.
I do not like the idea of so many new items being added that are only obtainable (Minus trading) through player-killing. As an Ironman account, I do not participate in PvP activities or trading and would be very disappointed to see these new things implemented into the game through PvP methods.
Specifically in regards to the Dragon Defender...just make it like all the other defenders and give it as a rare drop from a cyclops boss. This boss should be accessible to everyone (Not requiring trading or PvP)! But make it rare since it will slightly de-value the DFS a bit.

Yeah, at least we can obtain these cosmetics in-game without a credit/debit card.

I've seen a lot of posts about negative effects towards the dfs that could come with d defenders. I truly don't think it will have much of an impact since old school does NOT have super antifires which makes a dfs essential for increased damage versus dragons, plus the dfs has defensive stats unmatched by any other shield in the game. Dragon defenders would basically be an alternative for those who cant afford a dfs for all around play.

I am 43 Combat at 99 Defence. I can speak for everyone when I say: it is your own choice to restrict your account! You know and accept the consequences. Game updates should be focused to the demands of the community and not to small niche communities nor fad communities, such as the iron man fad. It is utterly ridiculous that the dev's have acknowledged and supported an iron man play-mode. It is your choice to restrict your account.
Also, updates should NOT be denied because they "might" devalue past content. If this is the case, when will there ever be new and just as unique and equally great content? There never will be if we fear it.
I'd like to see more too... I am sure there will be a part 3 to the BH Rewards blog. It seems as if the Cosmetic offerings were last moment and have more to come. I've suggested an upgrade to the Abyssal Tentacle on Page 29. It's the post in all blue + red font, in detail.
The text explains what the upgrade is, why it is fitting content and why it is relevant and how it will effect the game. If you care to give your opinion, good or bad, I'd love to read it.
