A rough idea...

Could we possibly get a coliseum?

Its no secret that 07 runescape is PVP driven, lets keep combat a main focus but give it a new direction.

My idea is to design a coliseum that could work in relation with the chaos tunnels.

The Edgeville dungeon could have something to do with it and Slayer master Vannaka would be the main focus point for ins and outs of the coliseum.

Possible location for this GRAND Coliseum could be where the grand exchange was once located. But that's only if you decide to make it above ground.

As with all mini games; rewards would be implemented.
Weapons and/or Armor gained from the coliseum could have a various number of enchantments/abilities/stats all gained from slayer points(a currency obtained through slaying monsters and from fights in the coliseum(which could provide greater rewards than from medium/low leveled slayer tasks)

The chaos tunnels could support group slaying.
As apart of group slaying players could be given a task to gather resources which then could be traded for slayer points and/or used in creating the new slayer items.
Resources gathered during these tasks could then be used to
recharge/repair/create the items/armor/specials gained in the coliseum


Thats all I can share with the lovely people of runescape07 forums at this time.
My post may be a bit scattered structurally or in the wrong section of the forums but my presence here is rare so i did my best with the time I had.

Feel free to redesign my idea in ways best fitting for the runescape community.

i gotta say..i too also agree that its pretty...silly.. to give out party hats every year...
some things have been re polled.. and i think this is one of the few things that needs to be..
when osrs started..the majority of people seemed to be rejecting most ideas..
now it seems to be there doing the opposite..
seems like there accepting most of them..
that would an encredicbly ridiculous amount of party hats circulating..
while gold is not the major item i strive for in this game..
i do admit that i like having nice or expensive things..
i remember back in the day that one of my far off dreams was to own a partyhat...
why? because not everyone owned one..
and
because it seemed a sense of accomplishment of saving and scrimping to get one..
i did achieve that goal..and the feeling was awesome..
i truly felt very proud of my phat..
and maybe inside some of us we still have that feeling..
and maybe if they discontinue phats someday they will become valuable again
and finally..by joining osrs in this first year..
we all have a one up on those that join later..
im not greedy..or anything..
but sometimes being in the right place..at the right time is what we need..

we NEED something to make goals for..and party hats were meant to be awesome..
its a whole lot better than a silly pumpkin or something being worths billions someday..
at least the partyhat is something we can wear with pride..

theres gonna be things that will be valuable..aqnd the partyhat is classic...like os right?

Is it possible to re introduce the challenge tasks? such as jad/kq and possibly some new ones aswell it changes things up a bit while slaying and would be really cool.

Also something about a max cape being introduced into oldschool would be really cool

The point system was flawed.

You were able to skip tasks without losing your "* tasks in a row" row.

This row should reset even if you use slayer points to skip tasks. How is that "* tasks in a row" if you can skip every other task?

Other than that, you might like to reword "Should POH Incense burners be re-lit before they run out, resetting their timer?" To me that sounds as if the timer reset automatically. Surely you need to use a new herb to reset them?

Rainbow Partyhats? Baby godwars bosses? These kinds of updates do not belong in oldschool, I'm sorry. This crap is for RS3. But I know it will pass because idiots want to trash this game even further due to wanting to colour their torags and firecapes.

I've been playing this game since day 1 and if this garbage passes I will be quitting. Sick of this bs.

There are other things you can buy with your money. if you don't have 99 construction you should not complain about needing something to buy. You guys just want to hord party hats.
