Will you guys ever consider Bounty Hunter craters?...Best BH there ever existed, and that is not an opinion. You get what you kill, you don't kill your target? 3 minute penalty no raggers in sight for the most part, and no teleporting out of a fight.

What else does the community want? I don't get it. I've been pking on 5+ accounts since 2004 and Bounty Hunter craters has been the best pking experience I have had to this date. I'm sure a lot of people can agree.

I would love to offer you that system, however I believe it failed a poll so we've stripped out parts of the system we can offer elsewhere in the game, such as the target system.

We need updates that are worth the effort, and thus rewards in the Bh-shop need to be worth getting.

People already stated that they dont want sharks or coins etc. in the game due the economy crashing, which i agree on
But, you can always add new items, which are unique to the store, which make it worthwhile to grind in bh for.

The ancient teleports in a teletab is a good one, and i'd also like to see the old pvp-armours back with original stats(TRADEABLE), for a very high price of UNTRADEABLE tokens in the shop it would be nice to get that as a bonus.
Also, if we put dragon claws in the shop it won't ruin anything really, just make it a very high price and hard to get, and since we have ags'es, claws wont be too op.

(WE NEED VALUEABLE ITEMS TO MAKE BH ATTRACTIVE, POST IDEAS BELOW)

thank you

Thanks for liking my ancient teletabs suggestion, but dragon claws are out of the question. The devs discussed in the latest Q&A already that they had way too much DPS. The vesta longsword also was waaaaay to overpowered. I remember people speccing 60+ through torags and 40+ through torags and prayer (the thing had the best accuracy in the game and 4 freaking specs).

Statius warhammer maybe. I don't like Pvp armours either but they aren't really out of the question I guess (but they shouldn't have more str bonus than bandos). But how are you going to solve them being untradeable? People will PK in them, and when they die, will they be able to pick them up again just like torso's and fire capes? That makes killing people even less rewarding.

Will the killer get the PK points back for killing people with these armours?

I think the PVP store should stock powerful PVP armour/weapons which would crumble to dust after 1 hour you need a good reward to make this actually worth it. *´¨)¸.*´ Kilot ~ Failed RuneScape player.

There can be thousands of debates on whether or not this will be the update to help satisfy those wanting a PvP update. Those debates are irrelevant until we try something.

So why not try this update? Let's further discuss how we can better this situation.

Regarding the oh-so-popular dragon claws. If implemented in the game, once again it provides degradation to the usage of magic and ranged.

Regarding PvP armors and weaponry, if they were to return, lets not have it in the same fashion. They need to be untradeable, only usable in PvP situations, and far less powerful. I'm thinking something of a replica to runite so that it eliminates the cost to get some runite armor with maybe some perks such as prayer bonus or recovering run energy 5% faster when in the wilderness.

Now regarding the system itself. How do we make this a system everyone can participate in, have fun, and not abuse? Well let's take a look at some things.

Abuse can only happen in areas or worlds that are unpopular.
Abuse can only happen in areas in "control" of a player's team or clan.
Abuse can only happen in situations where players do not risk wealth in order to obtain a financially beneficial advantage reward-wise.

We can eliminate the first 2 ways of abuse by limiting this feature to one world. It would force the popularity of the feature to sky rocket within the world, bringing people the element of danger and fun they long for. Some may disagree, but this in fact the only way to make it a popular activity that cannot be abused. The last form of abuse is a bit tougher to eliminate without ruining the integrity of the reward system. So why not change this reward system slightly?

I propose that one emblem can be collected per hour, and that this emblem can either be lost, sold, or upgraded through more accolades. This way, it prevents severe abuse, adds an element of danger, and has a timer, just like EP. Maybe the emblem can also be upgraded quicker in areas with more people.

But what happens if you kill people for this armour that crumbles? Will they get the crumbles armour? Will they get coins (like on pre eoc)? Or will they get the amount of PK points the armour originally costed? They said the armour was exclusive to target hunters so what if you're a rogue and kill somebody for it?

I have an idea for all the people who are worried that this system won't give them the profit-side of PKing that everyone seems to be calling for and also won't be economy-breaking.

Why not add in accolades for killing your target while wearing/wielding "x" item?

For example the lower level accolades would be something such as: Kill your target while wielding a Dragon Dagger.

And then for higher level ones: Kill your target while wearing the full Dharock (or Veracs or Guthans ect) set.

That right there forces people to bring in higher risk equipment if they want to get these accolades.

And I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but maybe set up a tier-system for the accolades where you can be rewarded PK points to be used in the shop. Like 1-5 points for a low level accolade and 10 points for each high level accolade? Obviously it'd have to be worked out so that the amount of points received isn't too much but it provides more of an incentive for people to hunt for the accolades, especially the higher-tiered ones. This also ensures that people who actually participate in the BH system feel they are reaping more benefits than the people who just buy the emblem drops from other players.

You CANNOT be assigned the same target soon after being assigned them.
Emblems obtained through PvP are both dropped and upgraded by killing ONLY your target.
Assigned targets shall be more BALANCED to your risk and combat level.
You can only be assigned a target if you’re risking ABOVE a certain amount.
Killing players who aren’t your target DOES NOT reward you beyond normal PvP conditions.

On top of the above, as the Bounty Hunter feature is only accessible on one world, the condensed number of players taking part and inability to control who you receive as a target will make it fruitless to spend time attempting to farm the system.

This is good thinking ahead not like the 'kill hat' on rs3 which you can get after killing 100 people (everyone killed their friends over and over again). These rulings will make it impossible. So far so good.

I do think that mining runite ores in the wildereness isn't good anymore. It is a lot safer to mine in mlm and get your runite ores from that. With this the Runite miner killing reward can't be used when no one wants to mine runite in wilderness.

Any idea on what will be put in the PvP shop? If it contains pking supplies it will devalue skilling, if it contains overpowered armour/weapons it will devalue PvMing(And PVP armour already failed a poll), If it contains cosmetic items PvPers will throw a fit.

I honestly have no idea on what to put in them....

We struggled to come up with suggestions ourselves. I totally agree that supplies (such as sharks ad potions) will devalue other players efforts in making those supplies and selling weapons from a store is not something I am keen on.

This is why we've extended this question out to you guys to find out what it is you'd want to see available in the store.

How does it devalue pvm? If it is because it will lower prices of pvm items, I disagree because more pkers = more people wanting good high level equipment to use.

If it is because you're giving another part of the game an opportunity to get high level items I don't think that's a good argument. Since when was pvm the ONLY way to get high leveled items? Some of the best items for combat come from skills, minigames and quests. It's only fair that some good items are obtainable through pking; the hardest thing in the game(if you think pvm or quests or anything else takes more skill than pking you're delusional ).

Skilling I disagree here too if the rewards are commonly used pking supplies because of the same answer for pvm. If bh is any good and accomplishes it's point - reviving the completely dead pking scene - there will be much more demand for supplies and even with pking supplies rewards the prices will still probably go up so skillers should still make more money than they currently are.
