Simple fact, I'm sick of people just stating we need new content and I agree but that doesn't mean EVERYTHING NEW we need to be on board for. The voting is based OFF THE DEV BLOG!!! Meaning we are not voting whether or not we WANT THE SKILL but the SKILL AS OF THE DEV BLOG. From the previous POLL we said NO. With this it will be NO again because so little was changed....I really want this skill but only because of the concept from what I thought Artisan meant. Jagex went a whole different route and I was like "ok let's see what they got". To my disappointment majority of the things involved sucked while I do love a lot of the ideas but how they are gained or executed sucks. PLEASE READ THE FORUMS FOR ALL OF the GREAT ideas many who have said NO are suggesting....once you do that.....poll their ideas!! If not move on to the next step......but if you keep on listening for 2 posts per page....we will continue the same cycle over and over....EOC for example took like a year or 2 to get decent.....and then they finally started the poll voting from the community lool!! it only took 12 years!

Esoteric no longer provides a +3 runecrafting bonus. Now, when wearing the hat, top and legs your runecrafting pouches will not degrade. The boots have been removed and the levels required adjusted."


Very cool. Still a nice effect, and not overpowered.

redwood tree would be cool, especially if they were like HUGE and had 100+ logs at a time so it doesn't run out quickly. You could also pave the way for introducing a dragon xbow limbs drop for a new boss monster and use redwood wood for the xbow handle.

After reading some of the more detailed things, i would have vote NO on the poll. having all of these extra unimportant items being thrown into this skill is NOT WHAT WE WANT. 500k of us voted yes for the simple runescape game and were even willing to pay extra for it. we need new content, but not this. what we were thinking artisan was going to be was a non-combat slayer. simple as that. skiller masters, assigning you new ores to mine, and new logs to chop, all sounds great. when i was really looking into this i found why the previous poll did not pass. all of us loved the idea for player-designed skills, but you did not give us the polls to MAKE the skill. you simply asked us for player-designed skills, majority chose artisan, and for a reason. throwing in new items like estoeric outfits, carvings , artisan tools , totems , and the one that struck my eye the most: the master crafters backpack. let's review what i just underlined. carvings: increased chance of receiving two ores from one rock. let's throw that into retrospect: having an item that increases your chance of killing upto multiple monsters for the slayer skill, (not gaining xp) = your slayer task done faster. etc, having each item like totems increasing your chance in each skill such as mining, woodcutting, and such. i just do not like this addition into the game and really liked the simplicity of how artisan sounded before-hand. a non-combat slayer. hopefully someone reads this and agrees . i hope this skill does not pass until we find the right niche for it!

It is upsetting to me that the players of RS have become so jaded and untrusting of Jagex. RS3 is obviously bad, and 07 should never head in that direction, but I don't think many players understand WHAT makes RS3 bad. So now we have a lot of players that are afraid of any changes or additions to 07 because they don't want it to turn into RS3, and worse we have players that don't trust Jagex to make any good updates.

The 75% requirement for new content is going to kill this game from ever making any real forward progress. Players don't know what they want, they just don't want to get screwed again.

I will be voting 'yes' on Artisan because I think the idea sounds amazing and I trust Jagex to create a fun gaming experience as they have in the past. I'm not that Greedy, and I'm not a Radish. I have misled you all.
