This really makes me mad,

It is a great concept, but the fact you are introducing new bows/ores/things to hunt/fish means you are just going to alienate old players and most current players.
I fully understand RuneScape, I've played for my entire life, and I love how I know everything about the game, it makes me feel safe when I play, knowing that there is no piece of knowledge I am missing out on.

I would be in favor of adding the skill with NO new items, (although you may think this removes all incentive from the skill)- I personally think it will make the skill alot more optional- which will mean players will not feel as if they are being forced to use the new skill in order to skill more in the most efficient way.

But knowing that I will not be able to skill in the most efficient way without training a new skill (and given that I don't really enjoy slayer either), will drive me to quit most likely, and I honestly think you will see a reduced number of players if you introduce the skill as-is.

I'm a major in psychology, not sure if that means anything lol, but I really do see some huge flawed logic in the skill as it is now.

I like this new skill hope it passes, me and my friends will vote yes but if it doesn't pass hope you guys add all of the things you listed in the devblog. Anyway great job guys keep it up.

EDIT:
Man everyone is b!@#ing about this new skill how some items or idk wtf shouldn't be in the dev*log or be added in the game but they don't specify which items or what they should change about it.

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM PEOPLE, DO IT!

Looks great I really hope it will pass. If you think this is a bad idea remember that it will revive a lot of dead content and encourage more people to skill which will create money making methods.

The idea isn't bad, but personally I don't want a new skill.

I just don't like all the items and new things that get added with it. Seems to have been a lot of new things lately. Also they've changed the Artisan blog about four times and people still aren't happy with it. I feel like it's being forced in a way.
I'm not against updates, but to me a new skill is huge, and if one was to ever be put in game it'd have to be something that makes me want to train it, and Artisan just doesn't cut that for me..

I think you've done a grand job in building this skill. At first reading it seems very involved, if not complicated; but I guess some other skills would have looked that way too, when they started out.

I do like the way that some RS3 equivalents are on offer; for instance the Artisan backpack equates to the RS3 tool belt, the difference is that it'll take work to achieve it, rather than a dumbing down freebie and it will also be upgradeable.

Having got my combat 99s through Slayer, back in the old days (not now), I relish the chance to add interest to skill levelling, currently I only work on skills that aid me in other skills: thieving for farming, farming for herblore, herblore for combat etc. A new reason for raising levels is attractive.

Those who worship the amassing of gp, those who see the game as purely for combat, or who get their main enjoyment from PKing, are unlikely to support this new skill. Those who enjoy playing the game in full will welcome it.

Read it again: the old way of skilling will be more efficient! You won't have to train the new skill!

is the plan to repoll this till it passes? :@

alot of people dont want this because they want a real new skill
id even prefer an existing skill update over this

when i heard we'll get a new skill which will be worked out by the community and the oldschool mods i expected something really great ...
but this definately isnt what i was hoping for...

the lower players might like it but thats it imo :/
