Looking at Port Robert*, I think there can be a lot of room for expansion with this. One thing I was looking at was the whole idea dealing with your favorability with the townspeople. An idea I had would be to balance out what benefits you get from each side. With the townspeople, if you were favorable towards them, you could get reduced prices on fish and other exotic items, along with good training areas for skills such as fishing, smithing, crafting, and so on. If you were more favorable to the gnome navy, maybe your character would reap in more combat orientated rewards and benefits, along with possible new training areas for combat, and also possibly a new agility course where your character traverses a ships interior, and possibly new thieving training methods. By doing this I feel it would balance out which side players would choose, as one would offer something the other does not, making the player choose what they want. Just some ideas I had.

Reach, thoughts/is it possible to separate banks from mainland and new continent? Could make the sailing aspect play an even bigger role as players would have to hire NPCs to ship items between the continents and whatnot.
The better your 'approval rating' is with ship captains, the cheaper the rates. Would be a neat way for merchanting.
Everything stated here is forwarded from a major corporation. Nothing here is my opinion. Enjoy your salad.

That would be very interesting.

Or you cold implement storage on your characters ship as well. If you were fishing or gathering wood, you would have to store it on your ship and then return to the mainland once you had no more room, which would tie in sailing more as well

Perhaps have no banks in the new continent, but a deposit chest in Port Robert* only where you can drop off and store a small number of items (so a mini-bank)?

New quests and equipment of course. Would like to see weapon upgrades like bow sights. As far as quests the whole area will be full of feuds. Gnome vs pirate (quest) and maybe the new race vs new monster? A quest reminiscent of the Time Machine. The friendly humanoid race against a new monstrous beast species. Maybe a quest where you save the new race from the beasts (maybe the beasts cause a volcanic eruption). As far as gnome vs pirate be able to pick a side or play all the angles to have them both like you but not love you. I dont care much for pvp but I know many people that do. I would like quests for the area but pvp doesn't interest me all that much. New skilling areas, monsters with unique drops, and ways to earn weapon and armour upgrades. That is what I want but new quests for each town would be cool. A cool twist on the volcanic eruption would be to have you stop the eruption and the "crazy" guy in town tries to stop you. In the end stopping the eruption saves the lives of the beasts and they are unleashed.

NO. please no.

You've just added Clan Wars. and we already have the Duel Arena. We don't need a Colosseum...

The town sounds silly. Ingame shops are almost useless as is. So adding a whole allegiance system to a new city is just stupid. New fishing spots? Are you kidding? We only have a plethora of those ingame atm. SUCH GOOD IDEAS.

If you don't add like 5 new quests with this continent imma rage quit so hard.

That would be interesting as well.

I personally hope that the Construction skill will be involved into this; how about the ability to make storage boxes? The high level the box, the more you can store in it. The boxes would be tradeable.

Don't forget that Reach said that it would require some updates:

I think Construction should be involved in some way for this travelling.

It would have a use outside the POH then :P .

Ash and I have discussed re-writing construction later this year just for readability and efficiency purposes. No change should be visible on the player side of things but a re-write would allow us to make changes and adapt the skill to further expansion with relative ease. At the moment, it's very difficult to add anything new or make changes to areas of the skill. Adding items to the chest boxes takes an unnecessary amount of time and frustration.

Just a suggestion.

I also think that if corporeal beast gets put into OSRS it should be added somewhere on the new continent. That would be really cool. And if the new continent brings an extension to the wilderness that would be nice, maybe corp could be located there if it does include a new wilderness area.

I have no plans or intentions of adding an extension to the Wilderness to the new area. The wilderness doesn't really need expanding and I feel there's enough to offer there already without having to undermine all of it.

There should definately be a flying city in the expansion. Every rpg needs one, they are just so cool. And when i say flying city i dont mean anything like in bioshock infinite. No, what id like to see is a bunch of black market auctioneers, mercenaries, outlaws and ragtag adventurers forming a city out of their zeppelins, hot air balloons and god knows what other flying devices. Perhaps it could serve as a secondary trading outpost for the upcoming auction house type of trading solution i keep hearing about. Maybe there could be a quest with air pirates? Runescape already has pirates, just like a good rpg game is supposed to, but what if we had air pirates aswell, wouldnt that be just so much cooler?

I hope i made any sense, english isnt my native language after all.
