I think you guys are doing great job with the new content. However i feel that it takes away from the original 2007 experience. It would be nice if you could make a few worlds where the last major update could be GWD so it feels more like the original oldschool
Sea Battles... I mean, how epic it would be to fight HUGE sea creatures with a crew?? It would be very nice to fight some mythological creatures like Kraken or something even bigger! Can't wait to see this update! Congratulations, you guys rock
If it is just like the Duel Arena, as in the mechanics..Why make it?
So here's a few ideas on what you can do with it.
A Colosseum is meant for an epic blood bath fight. Although lower levels can have great fights, I think it should be a place for high level players to come and show off their talent. Make it have a requirement of 100+ combat and you MUST wear gear. After all, combatants in the Colosseum didn't just go in there in normal day clothes..that was the prisoners or whatever you want to call them.
Now for gear... You can make it where you either use your own gear (advantage to those who have money, if you don't, then go to duel arena to make that money) or make a special Colosseum gear that can only be used in the Colosseum and have it where you can upgrade the armor. How do you upgrade it? Similar to the Duel Arena hat but with a whole new twist. If you did it to where it upgraded after so many victories, then everyone would have the best tier eventually. I propose you do it based on the kill/death ratio. Ranging from a 1.0 to 2.0 ratio, BUT will also down-grade as the ratio drops.
First Tier
- Similar to Rune Stats and is obtained on arriving to the Colosseum and talking to the headmaster.
Second Tier
- Similar to Granite Stats and is obtained at a 1.25 K/D ratio and requires atleast 125 victories.
Third Tier
- Similar to Dragon Stats and is obtained at a 1.50 K/D ratio and requires atleast 150 victories.
Fourth Tier
- Similar to Torag's defence stats with the Bandos attack/strength bonuses and is obtained at a 1.75 K/D ratio and requires 175 victories.
Fifth Tier and Final Tier
- Takes all the previous four tiers, adds up all the stats of the given armor, and combines them in to the best tier. Requires a 2.0 K/D ratio and atleast 200 victories.
Will have to find a way to prevent people from boosting these. Just a basic idea.
