I am glad you take botting seriously, but there is a problem. I was banned 2 weeks ago for minor macroing which I didn't do. I was looking away from my screen for a short period of time and when I turned back, I saw myself logging out. I immediately made an appeal in which I supplied proof that I was innocent, (I talked to various people over the last hours, I logged out and in every now and then to get some food or to world hop and I replied within 2 mins or so). Now it's 2 weeks later and I can finally play again but my appeal is still pending. I also sent a mail 2 weeks ago and never heard of that either.

It's a good thing to ban botters, but don't do this too lightly. If you (read Jagex) took the effort to check my talking history or something like that it would have spared me 2 weeks of boredom. And if you do ban someone, make sure you read the appeal within 2 weeks. I have always been a loyal player to mmo's and I often help other players. I behave the best I can at all times and I never cheat. To be banned so lightly and then ignored shows me that Jagex has no respect for its paying customers. I read that there werent a lot of innocent bans, but this is of course the case if you don't read the appeals that tell you so.

Continue banning all the botters, but take some effort to see if they really are botters. And please make sure that you can actually respond to appeals.

So I've been running around in game today and a lot of the more popular areas are looking much, much clearer at the moment.

Can you expand a little on the locations where bots are thriving in their masses and I will see what I can do to clear them up :)

Magic's in seers (both locations) as well as the mage trees in al kharid near the Mage Training Arena.

The last time I checked the mage trees in al kharid had 5+ bots in every world.

Greetings Mods. Two days ago my pure account got FALSELY ACCUSED of macroing / botting.

Truth be told I have NEVER touched any kind of Auto talker / Auto clicker / Bot / 3rd partysoftware program.

I appealed these false accusations the very second I recieved the ban without any progress.

How long do I have to wait before you answer/look at my appeal?

Please answer me as soon as possible.

Does Jagex look at trades posted on the forum where someone is selling massive amounts of resources and investigate them for botting?

While it is possible to get large amounts of resources legitimately, if I were looking for gold farmers to ban them, I would definitely look at posts from players selling 80,000 iron ores, 100,000 coal, 500,000 pure ess, a million sharks or lobsters, etc. for low amounts less than most others would sell for.

If most players are selling iron ore at 100 to 140 each, then someone comes along with 80,000 iron ores selling at 90 to 95 each, that has to look suspicious. Hi.

botwatch... loool i was banned for no reason because jagex think i using macro i am inoncent that bot sytme not really worked ... banned reall player who have fun to play this game and getting 21day banned for jagex mistake wtf ... i have 5 days lets now and i still no response from jagex


i did 2-3 post forum -50-100 email jagex .. 2 appeal for my banned nothing is working that game turning to crap and losing players for the bad works froms jagex ... omg im sad .. i need to make a new account to post here ...

Hi i posted earlyer about the thieving bots being on the first few pages of highscores.

While the first couple pages look alot better. it seems around the 300 mark there are still many bots left. pretty easy to tell they only have combat. with agil lvls from 10-15 from lamps im guessing. The reason im posting is because you missed the bots from my homeworld of 45.

while these two have left ardy, or at least my homeworld they are still on highscores. I know its only 2 but after reporting both for weeks with no result, it would be a small personal victory to see these 2 go.

AND JUST A SIDE NOTE. I THINK THAT IT WOULD BE WORTH WHILE TO CHECK INTO THE ACCOUNTS POSTING ON FORUMS SELLING EVEN 50K++ OF ANY ITEMS. I THINK ITS PRETTY CLEAR THAT ALOT OF THOSE HAVE BEEN BOTTED. I KNOW THE BOT ACCOUNTS USE FORUMS, AND PROBLY THE MAJORITY USE NON-JAGEX SITES TO SELL ITEMS FOR GP. There have been 2 times ive bought herblore 2nds and talked to a lvl 80, than have been directed to his "other account" a lvl 3 with a seemingly unlimmited supply of snapegrass, or newteyes.

It's ironic they ban legitimate players but not those obvious bots.
