Thanks for this, but I wonder what's happening about the accounts that have been wrongfully banned :(

The number of mistakenly banned accounts is very very small. Infact, over the past few days it's been hard not to notice the plague of threads in this forum claiming false bans. Upon investigating, it turned out that there were multiple individuals using the false bans as a means to get a previous ban for a much more serious offence overturned.

What's more, we also saw people who'd never been banned claiming they were. For what reason, we don't know. But those who were genuinely affected by mistaken bans will and have been dealt with.

Uh, and where does my little brother's case rest in this? He doesn't know how to bot, he shows no intent to bot, buy is still serving his 21 day ban that he doesn't desirve. and his appeals? not even looked at. Already 11 days in, only 10 left, sure he's almost over with his time served, but he NEVER EVEN BOTTED!!! He had to train firemaking to kill harpie bug swarms for slayer, and got banned right after he was cutting willow, by hand, without botting -.-

I'd like to see you respond to this J mods... but you won't, you'll just ignore this post just like all the others..

My friend has been wrongfully banned, can Mod Reach or Mod Mat K look into this? His Runescape name is iJuicyZerker


Same, my friend's RSN is Sandusky OH. He never botted in his life. Currently serving over one week of his 21 day ban. We were supposed to go suo KQ this weekend, but cant since somebody made a mistake and banned my friend wrongly...

Gutted.

My point stands... Mod Reach is right. Most of the ''false'' ban claims are obviously just idiot bots trying to get unbanned. still isnt fair for the real falsed banned people if hes lieing or not there are people still banned by a mistake.i just hope this gets figured out before i loose it. sense im getting left behind in the stone age with my account i was in the top 8.5k now its dropping slowly but surely to the bottom im missing out on allot of activities in rs that cannot be replaced by just unbanning me and replaceing my original membership.

if jagex wants to win the fight vs rwt and botting they need to do one of the following:

make a bot program of their own and let everyone bot so rwt will die because making a billion will be easy as hell. and people wont get hacked because they wont get keylogged by hackers.

or

they need to look at the bots ip address and every account connected to that ip gets auto banned and perm ban them so they cant make another account.

or

make more people pmods and allow them to ban bots at any givin time when they see them and make it where they have to be 100% sure its a bot in order to ban and to keep jagex out of hell all bot bans are perm no appeals allowed so jagex can get real work done :)

I was thrilled when osrs was brought out..but I think the game has already been too corrupted by all the botting -run not only by gold farmers but by otherwise legit players.
Tonite just in cathery i hopped 3 diff wlds with 60-70 bots each between yews flax and mage trees....While i hear a lot about bot busting it is actually getting worse.
In the past week our clan has lost 4 players back to eoc and I hav had 3 friends give up cause of the botting.
Between players running extra accts to gather for themselves or gold farmers,i am really starting to wonder if there r many legit players at all.

Does jagex actually believe this game os can be saved or is it just a lost cause?
