'Cost – When Old School RuneScape launched we said access would be included as part of membership for the first 6 months, and then we’d review the pricing. We’ve made that decision now, rather than wait for September… There will be no increase in cost for the foreseeable future and we aren’t planning to review the pricing again for at least the next year, if not much longer. You will be able to access both Old School and the main game for the price you are currently paying for membership.'
And here I thought that Jagex was 100% only about the money. Seems that at least the small team of developers for OSRS actually care about the game and what the community has to say as opposed to majority of the employees working on EoC.
To be honest, this 1 paragraph was the main thing I was thinking about when I saw the post on the main page for OSRS, was actually expecting them to make up some BS story about how it's not living to standards and that they were planning to put at $10 increase on the price. They know it would work, it's been out for 3 months, which is more than enough time to get people hooked into playing the game that would actually have no choice but to forking over the extra $120 a year due to being addicted to the game.
Glad they didn't try pulling that **** at least and I am glad that the small team of developers are actually a group that is dedicated to making the game better by our standards as opposed to some investors that are trying to cater to a younger audience while pushing away loyal players.
P.S. Don't forget the promise of no EoC, no SoF, no Solomon's Store, and no GE that you made 3 months ago. Don't even poll them, we already know the tricks that can be used to work in favor of certain people when it comes to the polls.
