Well after reading through as many of them pages as i could its obvious most yes votes come from player who still say "i still play eoc its just a little more complicated and i cant enjoy it"

so they come to old school runescape wanting pre eoc.

But i BET most of the people who came to old school runescape all voted yes for EOC becuase what you do is you read what jagex are saying and think yeah new weapons new amour yeah lets update lets update ????

All things that your after exist in EOC why should we have them in old school runescape i play old school runescape becuase it has nothing of EOC and me like everyone else playing old runescape had to irm ??? start a fresh account from level 1 on all stats. well thanks for that jagex that was fun but thanks again for now allowing all the content i didnt want back in OSRS to be allowed back because idoits who voted EOC decided they dont like that but they woudnt mind PRE eoc ....

keep old runescape OLD simple.

The special attack is op, not bow itself. Here is why:

Ruby bolt (e) guarantees 20% damage reduction of opponent's hp which has some caps on certain bosses, but still.

Diamond bolt (e) guarantees ranged defence reduce.

Dragon bolt (e) guarantees effect damage that hits very high unless target isn't using somekind anti-fire protection or is dragon. People can't possibly assume we should be wear anti-fire everytime in pvp unless the bolt does hit very high! As far as 65...

There is many other bolt effect out there, yes, but I don't list them all, and what they could do if they were guaranteed to activate.

So effect guarantee is what makes it overpowered.

I don't think that's true at all.
Armadyl Godsword gives guaranteed chance to hit 25% higher.
Dragon dagger gives guaranteed double attack with 25% increase damage for each hit.
Dark Bow guarantees increased damage and minimum damage hit.
All special attacks guarantee some kind of effect.
ACB special attack would not make it guarantee hit, it would only guarantee the effect of the bolt. The only problem with this I can think of would be the ruby bolt spec which is a guaranteed hit, but personally I don't think that's really much of a problem unless abused when bossing.


To people complaining about updates.
Do you think you would play this game after 3 or even 1 years from now on if there wasn't a single update?
Also, many people just wanted the Runescape as it was before EoC, and are here now.
I think its perfectly fine to go what with the majority says and poll all the changes, as there is such a mixed player base (People who want pre-EoC, people who want the nostalgia, people who want the 2006 style, people who just want a fresh start etc. etc.).

Judging from the polls it is safe to say that most people want the updates.
Just because you, the minority doesn't want updates right now why do you think its your opinion that should be listened to?

We will also create a black Halloween mask, and award it to players who complete the event. This black mask will be untradeable, and can be reclaimed from Diango or a player-owned house costume room if it is lost. The item will be made available again in future years on Halloween.

No. Don't keep the old runescape simple. Give us updates.
Now that I said a completely differing opinion from yours, why should my opinion, or yours, be preferred over the other?

Also, nobody voted for EoC. EoC was a update that Jagex released without asking or polling the player's opinions.

I think having majority of the players decide what should be updated and what not is the best way to decide.

LOL let me think maybe our opinion should be listend to because we pay for a membership aswell as every one else ? how about that one ?

I agree that polls are the best way to decide these things but most players just see jagex suggesting all these fancy things and just vote for them its stupid Updates are needed but why has it always got to be a wepon or new amour every time ..... its annoying we seen all this happen in the new RS why should it be happne again and i can see in a year or two this becoming pre eoc once more

So I haven't played old school yet but i love the sound of this. But i dont agree with the specials for the mage and range weapons. Almost every melee weapon special is based off of damage increase. Why can't mage and range have such a thing? Make a new godstaff that drops from zamy anf have it "focus its enegy into one big spell" and do like 20% more damage or set it equal to armadyls godsword(35%?or50%?).
And the range could have that too.
Currently in old school melee has more of the content. Make more than just one range and magic item with a special! :)
