Sorry but i'm incapable of seeing why statuette loots are a bad thing?
When you said, "it provides nothing new for the game in terms of content and devalues every other money making method that currently exists." do you mean that it will drive people away from skill-based earning and instead push them towards PKing for money? Because THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE
WANT
NEED!
You said, "Added incentives are not being offered with the Bounty Hunter target system." That is
exactly
why your proposed idea will not work. There is no incentive to PK right now and implementing this system is not going to change that. It is in the way of the world for people to desire profit, for money is power. There is no money in PKing anymore, therefore people will not do it. Simple.
I guarantee you that everyone who has tried to PK in the last 12 months has either said this, or been told this: "Get a risk". Why? Because they want to earn money. That want to PK for their money. Think back to a few years ago to when runescape was in its prime. When was that? With Bounty Hunter worlds. Why? Because not only was it fun, but it was profitable. As soon as the wilderness returned, people slowly stopped PKing because it was less profitable. The raggers came back, and everything went to sh*t. The game more or less drowned under its own (former) success. Why were BH worlds so successful? Not only was it an enjoyable method to make money, that every player could do, but it was also an item sink. You think that this will de-value other money making methods? Wrong. People train slayer so that they can kill abby demons for whips. More whips enter the game. Supply increases, demand drops. Price plummets. With a money sink, the amount of whips entering the game = the amount of whips being removed from the game. Supply drops, demand increases, prices go up. PKing becomes more profitable, and slayer becomes more profitable.
