^ Maybe very specific questions where you'd really like additional voting requirements could be in-game only, with everything else being polled on the website as well? You will never get anything for free. Anyone claiming that is trying to scam, lure or hijack you.

I've asked Mod Ronan to list in-game polls on the next poll, Poll 23. He's blogging about it now.

Based on the results of the survey so far, it looks like poll booths are the most popular way to offer the poll menus in-game. I'm proposing we put them in cities and towns, generally near the banks, somewhere accessible but not too obtrusive so they don't clutter up the game world.

The survey's staying open for the weekend, and it's possible that suddenly there'll be a rush of voters who all want it put on the Varrock Herald instead. (Unlikely, but possible.) Anyway, Poll 23 just exists as a blog so far, and won't be open for voting until next week. If this survey's showing radically different results by then, we'll have time to change Poll 23 before voting begins.

The technology would support that, although people might find it a bit harder to keep track of what's being polled and where they need to go to vote. And, indeed, there might well be some controversy about what questions have what requirements!

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, if people don't want anything to change, period, as you put it, they are allowed to think that and select no to a poll.

You are absolutely correct with everyone is entitled to an opinion. We all deserve to vote.

But why is one side of the voting system more powerful than the other? Are we not all equal players?

There still needs to be an option to not select either option if it doesn't concern you in the poll

If it doesn't concern you because you don't want in-game polls to happen at all, I recommend you go with " I don't like it " for all the options. And, of course, if this gets to the formal 75%-or-bust poll, you'll get to vote No then.

If it doesn't concern you because you honestly don't mind what happens, I recommend you go with " I'd accept it " for all the options.

I think what was meant by the earlier post was broader, in a sense to apply to all polls, not just this one.

There should not be only hard answers yes/no or their equivalents. In addition there should be I don't know and It doesn't matter to me.
That way a lot of ignorant votes can be avoided, as often polls include a wide variety of game updates. Certain players may not be all that interested in a certain area, thus lack the competence and motivation to vote correctly. Still they can certainly be passionate and reflected on other parts of the game that more concerns them. And be able to vote more wisely on that.

This is true at least for me, a few times I admit I have voted on things I don't really care about just to get my votes on things I do care about registered.

Of course having a I don't know option won't affect the votes either way, other than leaving more power for those who are passionate about that particular question.

That's what I get from the comment anyway, I might have misinterpreted but still I think it would be wise with alternatives something like this:

---

Do you want X to be added to the game?

Yes

No

I don't know, doesn't matter for me, whatever.

---

This is for the standard polls, surveys necessarily can be different.

Thanks.

Thanks, everyone. It looks like the best way to offer in-game polls will be via poll booths, so we don't clutter up your menus with new buttons.
We'll move ahead with the formal 75%-or-bust poll momentarily.

be nice if they left the pool both in the banks.
who thot it was a good idea to move it to the Communist button?
it is a miss leading link to what rs calls forums -
rs has not had anything except a jumbled disorganized note board.
yes rs still needs a true forum with the correct lay out and tools that make up an online forum.
