I was going to vote 'yes' on bringing back rares, and then choose an option like putting them in a store.

But given the number of people who want them to be discontinued, I will be voting 'no', period.

....This is why they would need to be untradable.... Its doesnt matter then if they are discontinued or not, they cannot upset the balance of the economy in any way, while still looking good/used in a comedic way just for the fun of it....

Would be interesting to know what other people who were around for the item drops and can get these "rares" easily think.

Honestly, I bet they mostly don't want them, where as the people who never had them do want them, and would realize they didn't really want them once they get them.

1. Would you like rare items return in some form? [Yes]

2. If you vote for rare items to return, would you like the currently tradable rare items to remain tradable? [yes, though it seems like this could end up like Diagos toys]

Which of these ways would you like rare items to be distributed? Each of these questions have a yes or no answer.

1. Distribute them using similar mechanics as you did before (dropping them, holiday events) [no not everyone, including me was able to obtain one during that time]
2. Appear as a very rare reward from a treasure trails [Yes]
3. Distribute them through very rare monster drops [Yes]
4. Have an NPC shop you can buy rare items from for a small amount of GP [yes]
5. Have an NPC shop you can buy rare items from for a large amount of GP [no*
6. Have them given out as rewards from community events [no]
7. Give one of each rare item to every old school player [no*
8. Have them appear as very rare drops when skilling [Yes]
9. Introduce new seasonal events for each of them [no*

That's because they don't really want the items. They want to feel 'special' because they have the items and someone else doesn't.

All of this stuff is why Jagex stopped making these items in the first place. And now we're going to make the same mistakes all over again?

The 'mistake' was making them tradable.... Most people leave their holiday items with Diango, they are of no value just fun to use on very rare occasions.

Tradable items however, became 'hijacked' by real world traders and sold for real money, a phat could change hands for over $1000 at one point.

My reasoning is, let people have their decorative items, as long as no one is profiting from them........

It would be epic to see them back in game, aswell they should stay tradeable otherways i can,t call them Rare eny more:/
But those items should come into game with some cool event, im not sure what one or how but why not to make something new for it? If it aint hard.

Making them available from clue scrolls sounds like the only decent option. Introducing them in a manner similar to what we originally had would just be so dumb, I thought that was universally acknowledged to be a big mistake?

Here is a solution...

Make ALL the items available to everyone through Diango, open up the trade list and there they are.... Make it available to EVERYONE, even new starters, and make them all UNTRADEABLE.

Its the only way to stop any arguments about this.....
