Doing a drop won't at all simulate the experience we had of the original rare drops.

I usually was at my grandmothers for christmas, but I clearly recall the halloween and easter drops.

Worlds were not nearly as crowded as they would be in this more organized community, so the few rares scattered around was enough for the 4-5 players that you would have in sight.

After the drop, you could easily find somebody to sell you the items, which weren't yet called rares ofcourse, for about 5-10k each(Hardly an unfair advantage, they would climb to more eventually but it took years and years for them to be unattainable to casual players who don't stake/play lots). Now that we have an abstract value, and the fact that we call them rares, this would not be replicated at all, people already have an idea of the value so people would buy them out, and for millions. The people who picked more up during the drop would be far richer than those who didn't.

The only solution is to give them to everyone, but even that will just make the rich merchants even richer, it's what I'd vote for if I weren't voting no though.

1. Would you like rare items return in some form? Yes
2. If you vote for rare items to return, would you like the currently tradable rare items to remain tradable? Not sure, probs yes.
3. How would you like rare items return? On a fair way for everyone, probs dropped in a party.

I support HOLIDAY items coming back. I do NOT support DISCONTINUED items. Is it too late to add ^ in question form?

Options like Shop selling / Treasure Trail rewards seem best to me, one time events not so much.

Maybe adding "Do you want rares to be discontinued?" as a 4th question on the first set, then you can change the second set of questions on how to implement them based on the outcome of that? *Shrugs*

'make them available from skilling AND monster drops FOR 1-2 WEEKS ONLY. giving everyone in game the chance to obtain them, while also keeping the items discontinued for the future.'

No thanks. What about people who can't play during that time? Maybe they have work commitments, or an illness, or a broken computer? What about people who haven't joined yet?

All that discontinued items do is encourage jealousy, greed, bragging, real-world trading, griefing and hacking.

1. Would you like rare items return in some form? Perhaps but, rather no. I have seen what items like these do to communities/economy. The outcome is never good.
2. If you vote for rare items to return, would you like the currently tradable rare items to remain tradable? No.
3. How would you like rare items return? I'd like Diango to hand out free 'rares'.

Instead of adding rares, could you perhaps add the new clue scroll items that were introduced later to runescape?

In my opinion, poll should only reach majority of yes votes. Meaning it would only need 51% to pass since rares were actually in the game back in 2007.

Definitely not. A lot of people have already had changes they want voted down by less than 50%, and this poll doesn't deserve special treatment.

There is always people who can't make it to some event, its fair chance if the event runs for 1+ week. Not like everyone was online at the time when the rares really appeared.

This content existed in 2007 which means it should actually have a special treatment.
