My biggest concern is players voting 'no' on these upcoming polls without considering all the possibilities. Some players seem to not realize that these holiday items, and other discontinued items don't have to be the same as they were in the other game. They don't need to be tradable, and they don't necessarily need to be *rare*.

I've seen a player in game say he doesn't seem to understand the point of partyhats if they aren't rare, and would thus vote 'no'. When I mentioned the importance of having them in the game for nostalgia( as untradable items) for fun he seemed flabbergasted at that idea. :P

If 75% vote for rares, and they are brought back not rare, I think that will make people rage lol.

Also, someone said, it's not fair to level 3s if they are brought back in some ways, which is possibly the one time in history that may be true lol.

This is why I voted no to the Easter event btw. I see how you lot roll.

What about all of the holiday items since 2007, are you planning on bringing those back in future events or what.

My personal choice would be give them to all players for joining old school at diango or whatever his name is.

I think only let people who voted the last 2 votes should be able to vote, as I think the bots will all vote for discontinued rares.

The way I see it, these items would not be rare , they would be vanity items, no players in the current 07 game would have gotten them as they did when they were first released.

They will never have the same value or the have the ability to date an account.

I think they should either be left out of 07scape or have them as a very rare reward in treasure trails/Dragon chain rarity from a goblin drop chance from certain monsters.

This way the items can still have their high cost and can be available to any player coming into 07scape at a later time without the fear of it spiking to 2 billion coins for no other reason then there will be no others coming into the game at a later time. Basically make these comparable to 3rd age. Cosmetic and fairly rare.

It's all those posibilities that will cause me to vote no because it it isn't clear exactly what a yes vote would mean.

Without the answers to HOW they will be brought back first, then one can only assume there is no way to know exactly what you are voting for if you vote yes.

IMO, it's the other questions that need answers first... otherwise, the only real option I see is to vote no to the return of rares.

It appears to be set up as if they were polling something like GWD, and asking do you want GWD back.. and then later asking.. do you want it modified in any way?

It's just wrong.

What happens when more than 75% vote yes to bringing in rares, and then 50% select nontradeable?

In that case.. neither tradeable or untradeable got the required percentage of 75% so which will it be... tradeable or untradeable?

And, if it's simply assuming 'well you voted yes to bring them back' (in spite of so many voting to bring them back as untradeable).. aren't you looking at ticking off HALF of this community?

IMO, it's not very 'bright' to assume that people voting yes to bringing them back are in favor of bringing them back.. regardless.

You are NOT giving us options in this vote.

Also, what happens with the percentage required to pass something.. regarding implementation of rares? What if NONE of those things get 75% will you then simply not implement them?

I know you guys can do better than this!

I for one really like the idea of reintroducing "rares". However if they were to re-release them, I would definitely prefer them to be re-introduce them like how they were originally (For example events for non-tradeables, how they were randomly scattered for Party Hats and such.). Keeping them trade able and obtained through the original methods and means.

They are merely cosmetic items that are just for show, so it doesn't really matter if they are rare or not, but having the opportunity to work for one is nice, because it would be a reward for all that hard effort that has been put in to obtain it, if they do come into the game, every single player should have an equal chance of obtaining one, just like in 2001 and 2002. So it could work with having one spawn in a random location for every player, and only they could see it, so they have the opportunity to hunt the entire world to find it, so a Christmas cracker containing a random colour partyhat is spawned in a random location for everyone in one week, and a halloween mask in a random location in the next week, the only exception of a location would be the wilderness, as it would be unfair to the unfortunate few who would have theirs located somewhere in there. For the untradeable rares, just have an NPC give them out to the player or have them assign a small task to obtain one. Like Santa gives out yo-yo's at christmas like in 2004, the easter bunny gives out bunny ears during easter and the grim reaper gives out sythes during halloween. :)
