i think the most logical way to implement them would be to make them a bonus for the next few years events. so you get them together with the rewards from whatever event it is you are doing.

i also do think that handing one out to each player would be fair like I Revan I said a few posts under me. my only concern with this would be that there would be so many of them in the hands of bots

FYI im not really the biggest fan of botters

Don't vote for the trade-able rares! If you take a think about this, it's how the game was ruined in the first place. People use bots everywhere, but they'll certainly do it all over again for reaching a goal of a high price, let's say a party hat. I'd vote for non trade-able rare items so that people might have the chance to get them back and people can't cheat their way to a party hat. Support anyone?

you fairly distribute them to each and everyone, and let the price's evolve and take their own course... You know this is the fairest way to do it. The rest are aweful ways of going about it.

Clue drops? ridiculous. Not everyone likes or can do clues. The tables are tilted.

Sold at Npc stores? well may aswell not call them rares anymore.

Monster drops? Again this is unfair to people who just like to skill, and vice versa for rare skill drops. The tables are also tilted.

I don't know why people are crying over the return of rares. They were a massive part of old runescape. Just because theres a chance you might not recieve 1 your all crying about their return. It's going to happen either way, get over it.

To prevent people from btching and moaning. Simply hand 1 out to each player and allow the prices to evolve and take their course.
“Then out spake brave Horatius,
The Captain of the Gate:
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his gods”

This is how they should be introduced. Any other way is stupid and unfair.

A vendor should sell them for extremely high prices. The vendor price should also be their set alchemy value too. With this, the items remain extremely elite, very few people can obtain them, but their value can't depreciate over time since the alch value is equally as high. Nobody will sell for less when you can just alch the money back.

At the very least, perhaps put the prices on each rare the current GE prices of them. However, I'd say it's best just to make each item cost a max cash stack so that the "rare items" stay as "rare" as possible.

Edit: This only applies to tradeable rares. Untradeable rares should just rely on original account creation day.

Voting 'yes' to tradeable Rares and how they were originally distributed. Rares are a major part of Runescape History and were a huge part of 2007. It should remain the way it was as this server is technically a 'snapshot' of what the game was at this particular time. Tradeable Rares were apart of this particular time.
