Hadlow Pro:

" Jagex always said the tradeable holiday items (such as Party hats) were a mistake. "

------------------

Can't emphasize this enough. And yet with the benefit of hindsight, so many seem to think these are somehow necessary to Old School. Two months in, the game's doing fine without them; we don't need them and we never will.

We already have one example of untradeable so-called rares from the Easter event (the Chicken suit made the list so curious to see what they're going to do with that should the vote on rares fail altogether, though it doesn't look like it will). If they want to continue a re-release of untradeables at holiday events, that is the only way I am fine with them.

No implementation will be the same as it was; the tradeables will not and cannot represent wealth in the same way that they have in the main game.

Kind of wish I voted no to tradeable rares...everyones going to vote so that everyone can have one.......the whole point of them was they are rare and a select few have them that's what gave them their charm is everyone forgetting that?

Bad job with the poll.

If you want rares to be one of the tradeable or untradeable, but you would vote no to any rares without it being your choice, then voting yes to question 1 just ***** you over because it means if your answer to #2 is losing then your yes answer to #1 helps it get in.

I think everyone should have a holiday item, and have them all non tradeable. They are silly holiday items, not "RARE" items. The true rare items, are 3rd age, dragon, etc. It would be fair to everyone, like what whoever it was said, we have been doing fine without holiday items.

1. Would you like rare items return in some form? YES
2. If you vote for rare items to return, would you like the currently tradable rare items to remain tradable? Tradeable
3. How would you like rare items return? Give each oldschool player a christmas cracker and a random of 1 other rare so then they are still rare and don't continually enter the game thus eventually becoming not rare but then if each oldschool player has xmas cracker + 1 other rare then its alimited amount of the rares being rare.

I'm going to vote for every player to get each rare. Because you people don't reaslise they released them for the holiday spirit and if everyone has them the prices won't be insanely crazy and everyone can wear them which is what Jagex intended!

YES

2. Appear as a very rare reward from a treasure trails ---- NO
3. Distribute them through very rare monster drops ---- NO
4. Have an NPC shop you can buy rare items from for a small amount of GP ----
YES

5. Have an NPC shop you can buy rare items from for a large amount of GP ---- NO
6. Have them given out as rewards from community events ---- NO
7. Give one of each rare item to every old school player ---- YES
8. Have them appear as very rare drops when skilling ---- NO
9. Introduce new seasonal events for each of them ----

1, 4, and 9 are my favorite options. Specifically 4 and 9.

I think they should be some form of rare drop or clue scroll reward, but instead of all of them being available all the time have a time frame where each one will be dropped. Such as Santa's around December and such. That way once the time frame has passed they will be unavailable until the cycle comes back around. Or just make it once the time has passed on them that would be it for getting that item truly making them rare because in my opinion there is a huge difference between "rare" and "discontinued." The latter being far more desirable.
