No to Restraint. If you want to teleblock, then you'll have to deal with the weaker bind. Teleblock was placed on a different spellbook then ice barrage for a reason: to prevent mages from becoming too op. Adding Restraint would devalue ice barrage and the ancient spellbook by a lot.

Everything else is fine, however I feel like the f2p teleblock should have its time reduced by protect from magic. Not a lot, maybe just ten seconds or so.

It's not specified in the thread but what would be the level requirements of the suggested gear?
My first impression is same level as the weapons compared to ( so 60atk, 50 ranged and 60 magic ), but this still has to be confirmed

Also would this weapon make a dragon scimitar even less used as d scimmy is locked after the mm quest. This weapon would be available with no reqs, making the dscim obsolete.
Perhaps is adding a controlled function instead of strength an option to keep d scim as the t60 str weapon ( and keeps the mm quest as a req ).
Power to the people
But are the people fit to rule?

super happy to see jagex looking into making it ok for teams of 1-3 people, i definately do not think items should be took off the table but they do need a much higher chance to get them,
super stoked ill be able to do TOB in the future

I think both are a great idea, I think there are to many possible rewards from the reverant caves though, so maybe scale that down a bit.
When it comes to the Entry Mode idea I think it is perfect because of the lack of ability for most players when it comes to finding a team for Raids 2, I do think you should be able to get any unique but I would double the drop rate for them so that even someone soloing has a chance at getting any of the uniques but the chance is much less than a normal raid.
Great ideas Jagex Keep it up!

Is there a good argument for why Easy Mode ToB should be released besides making all content more accessible to everyone? If there is, I would like to hear it.

From what I remember, and I could be wrong on this, when ToB was announced, it was heavily implied that it would be just as accessible as raids 1, but more focused on combat. Again, I could be wrong, it's just what I remember, and it was a long time ago.

Strongly opposed to the idea of an 'entry' mode for Theatre of Blood.

Let's consider the player-base. Yes, there's new/newer players - and we're grateful for them. They're important for the longevity of the game. But this game is built on a foundation of veteran players; if we make design changes so that every piece of content is palatable for noobs, then we're disenfranchising our core players. Why does all content have to be available to all players? Is two pieces of content (Inferno and Theatre of Blood), amongst a vast sea of content that's accessible, too much to ask? Obviously not all content should cater specifically to the late-game players. To the contrary, early- and mid-game content is great... look at how well the Grotesque Guardians was initially received (time/drop table issues aside). Yet, why can we not have a couple of pieces of real end-game content? Especially in the context of a goal-driven and achievement-based game, can this not represent a long-term goal to strive towards?

And that's not to say that newer players can't progress - ToB is not insurmountable. There are videos and streams to learn from.

IF the team is adamant on adding an entry mode, which I hope you're not, then please do not provide any chance of unique loot or pet. If it's an 'entry' mode, then let it be nothing more than an introduction. To give a chance of loot is to make a mockery of the full ToB.

I appreciate the position you guys are in, and I trust that whatever the outcome is, your judgement will be fair and reasonable.

Cheers Squawk,
A disgruntled, yet respectful, bird.

Completely disagree with easy mode TOB, people just need to wait and put the effort in to reach the levels and requirements to get there.... Leave TOB end game content and dont cater for the med levels.

Im a high level but i dont have the reqs yet either but there is plenty of other content that i can do first until I reach the point where i have the requirements attempt TOB.

I only fear that the teleblock scrolls will be overpowered combined with an Ancients spellbook; it also feels like a very clunky way to introduce the teleblock into free-to-play. I'd much rather have it be re-polled at some later point in the future.
