"Sci, if what you say is true, OSRS is doomed to fail, because lack of updates means the game will go stagnant and boring. This will cause people to quit, leaving the servers like the Classic servers. Due to them watching for vote sabotage, you can be assured 75% or more of the community wants a certain update."

I have to agree with you Zelda. It won't happen right away, but people will reach that "end game" and when there's nothing left to do... they will leave (leaving the playerbase smaller, and likely an additional cost to those who choose to stay).

You CAN be assured that an "overwhelming majority" wants any updates put into the game. 75% is no small feat in this community (and we will ALL find ourselves in that 25% at least once).

That's not going to be Jagex's fault though.

If they (Jagex) never offered anything.. we'd just get to that point faster.

I've been in these forums day and night, for years (every day for more than 2 months now), and what I see this OS team doing is responding to posts in forums.. answering questions.. trying hard to keep the players in the loop... telling us what they can and cannot do.. allowing the freedom to post about any possible update they want to discuss.. even responding on a LOT of threads. How can that be wrong?

To say they should simply ignore the forums, is lunacy. Ignore the player base that just threw money at you and do nothing of what they discuss in these forums? No.

Jagex has done nothing more than to offer what they are actually capable of. If something passes and is implemented into the game... it's NOT jagex's fault.

It's the players who must meet or exceed that 75% yes vote, and blaming jagex for player choices is absolute insanity (IMO).

Fix'd. Sure they deal more damage, but max health is also higher to compensate.

Cinder Fox:

The Grand Exchange is one of the main things that will never be put on OSRS. It is on the DO NOT SUGGEST FOR OSRS list for a reason. And even from a technological standpoint, no.

Tyria Mine:

Thanks. And another reason it is not Jagex's fault is that Jagex is a BUSINESS, and is thus out to make money. If an idea is popular enough with their customers (those on forum and those that respond to polls) and they can implement that idea, then Jagex might lose money by not implementing it. I really don't get why everyone is so against the GE. This happened 6 yrs before evolution of crap.. I mean combat. 6 yrs! seriously it won't kill the game, and at least for me and my friend it would help a bit. Or am I the only one that gets very frustrated because it is so hard to get a hold of anything?!

Very happy with what's on the next polls! Usability updates which can only improve quality of life. Excellent.

The future content still needs a lot more discussion to find a definitive answer on whether to be implemented or not.

The grand exchange was a huge game changer in terms of trading and if it was introduced again we'd go through the same changes as we did before, this would be us going in circles. There is no need for the grand exchange, I've seen many people say that the community may take this in the exact same direction as eoc. Although it seems like a bit of an exaggeration it is the right idea.

RuneScape 2007 should only entail updates that are not dramatically game changing such as the grand exchange, godwars, PvP worlds and especially eoc. In saying that updates such as bank tabs, quick access to banks etc. are okay. So really what I am trying to say is don't ruin what we have, so what? you don't get to go to a big market place where you can instantly trade with people on a completely different server... big deal. Do it the old fashioned way, or "hard" way as few may call it, and go to varrock or falador, advertise what you're buying or selling and do the trade.
