As the mods would like further explanations on Why/Why Not for updates, I'll elaborate on a few things for me.

GWD:
I don't want OSRS to turn into another lame camping bosses game. That spits in the face of the diverse skillset RS has to offer. I starting playing this game in '02 - the game kept me enthralled by the skill diversity not by killing a few bosses over and over and over again. I quit RS a few years ago and then came back when I heard about OSRS.

ZMI:
Some skills should be absolute pain. RC should be one. No one said all skills have to be easy. Crafting Fires should be the fastest method (for now) and those that craft them should experience a money loss. ZMI essentially just reduces the money loss if not removes it.

The way I could see ZMI being ok is if the aggressive monsters are buffed up considerably, the Prayer altar is removed, and the bank cost is raised. It should be a
dangerous
activity.

Achievement Diaries:
I loved Achievement Diaries when they came around the first time. This time around I think they should be VERY slowly implemented as they can affect the market quickly. I hated that they brought around "dailies" but I loved that they made slight changes to a lot of things you did in RS. (E.G. Tower of Life - Ardy cape = noted drops)

Future Updates:
I, for one, would like to see a lot of small changes made to the game that don't drastically change it. I would like to bring the churning update from 2010 to the game without the milk seller (with modifications such as multiple buckets of milk per
cheese wheel
) as it makes potato based food items more attractive to make and other updates along those lines. Not to make things drastically easier such as Make X, Drop All, etc. but things that entice players to interact with different items, locations etc. in the game.

'Woah this is epic. I knew we were getting a small dedicated team but I seriously didn't think we would be getting this amount of support!

At Mod Ash or any other 07 development team
- You mentioned the possibility of mini-games, would that include late updates such as 'Fist Of Guthix' (2008)? I'm curious to know what ones could be a possibility as some are quite graphically advanced to fit the era of 07. Does the year of which they are released effect possibilities?

I for one would love to see the Old School Clan Wars in the 'Wildy! That was great fun running through the Wilderness with all your items trying not to get Pked when you didn't have a Games Necklace! :P

God Wars;
Many have concern over GWD being implemented to game as they feel the weapons were overly powered. PKers especially do not agree with it.
If it was to come back, would the development team consider 'nerfing the stats of these items to make them equal or less effective than other items used in PVP? Perhaps the God Wars Dungeon would return with no God Items as drops?

I think it's important to note that if changes like above do come up in a poll, Jagex should make PKers immediately aware that it will not effect PVP before the poll is released. Otherwise I think some may dismiss it straight away and vote against it.

Thanks for all the support so far! I don't think anyone expected this amount. :)

God Wars

God Wars marked the beginning of the end for PKing. The start of overpowered spec weapons, armor, and updates that consistently made pking less and less enjoyable. There's nothing "Old School" about AGS specing 70's on people or having god wars armor with insane bonuses (compared to rune/barrows).

Not only that, but it turned money making into camping bosses 24/7 with teams of maxed players with maxed gear. The majority of people, as awknowledged by Mod MMG, wanted a 2006 (or 2005) version of the game - You only had a 2007 version. We wanted a 2006 version for precisely this reason. We don't want all of the new content. If people *ant bosses and all of the other main updates that happened they should play the main game.
This is old school runescape.
2007 isn't even old school, lets not make it worse by adding even more new updates to it.

Also, Jagex bringing back GWD is a slippery slope. Soon enough everyone will cry about not having coinshare and in a few months we'll be having a poll for the GE. No thanks.

F2p Worlds

This update is necessary if the clan world is to survive in this game. Technically these worlds were open at the time of "Old School Runescape", just they were accessible by f2p players. I don't see how a poll would be necessary for something already in existence. This has 0 impact on other players who do not want to use the worlds to PK in.

As far as the other updates go..

ZMI - I'm not completely opposed to this as RCing is so insanely tedious (even with ZMI) that it's physically painful to train sometimes. On the other hand, it made the skill less "special" and probably lowered the price of nature runes as more people were able to get 91 without grinding for as long.

Future Updates

Bring back the old Varrock, Falador, and old NPCs such as Dragons, Giants, Rats, Skeletons, etc

Mist, that's an interesting idea (about having the don't care vote option), but what would happen if 'I don't care' got the majority 75% vote, would the update not happen I assume?

Abstain doesnt show. If you don't vote, you don't add anything. Its not a no, its not a yes. So the poll works:

[ ]yes
[ ]no
[ *Abstain

But when the votes looked at you see
*% Yes
X% no

If yes is 75% or better and no is 25 or less, boom it happens.

kind of like this Mist

if there is ever a abstain vote..

75,000= yes
25,000= no
40,000=abstain
__________
140,000 votes

Yes wins with 75% of the vote

the abstain vote should not count either way.
for abstain would mean you don't mind either way and are leaving it up to the ones
who do.
