Keep bonds and the rest of that RS3 Bull&!@# OUT OF OLDSCHOOL!!!!!! You already killed your game please dont kill your backup game to.

we fought to way to hard to get the REAL RUNESCAPE back! PLEASE DONT KILL IT WITH BONDS AND SPINS. We all know you want to make more money Jagex but you will make more keeping the game good and keeping that &*$& OUT OF OLDSCHOOL!!!

The introduction of bonds IMO is what made RuneScape a competitive and fun game turn into a game for rich kids. Doing this to "Old School" would mean that, well, its not gonna be classic anymore and people don't have to do any work to achieve what they want. I personally think bonds is something that should stay in the live version of the game and Bonds was not at all a bad idea in linking the two in terms of membership, its just the fact that, with all due respect, that another game has to be ruined through the likes of RWT, considered criminal by Jagex a few years ago.

EDIT: Since bond consumption has been a huge part of the introduction of Old School, it'd be a shame to risk losing it because of a majority community vote.

I support this idea to a certain extent, however I can see some flaws that have been previously mentioned. I was only just recently thinking about how great it would be to have bonds introduced to OSRS as this would save me from trusting another player with my hard-earned GP. It takes the risk away from trusting another player if you wish to swap OSRS GP to RS3 GP in order to buy the bond.

Another alternative could be that Jagex is the middleman in swapping GP between OSRS and RS3. Maybe there could be a swapping centre within each game that has a standard rate (e.g. 8m RS3 GP for 1m OSRS GP). This would prevent trusting players that might scam, while also preventing merchanting between game versions. It would also allow Jagex to monitor every transaction that occurs. Additionally, this would allow players to continuously swap between game versions if they wish. This would mean that bonds stay within RS3, but you can still take advantage of them if you play OSRS, but you could do so in a safe manner.

Edit: Just to say I think swapping gold from RS3 to 07 and vice versa should be against the rules. I'm saying that as a player that has the means to swap.

I would not like to see the introduction of bonds in 07. I do not like any form of microtransaction and do not think it will make a positive impact. I did however see this post from Mod Reach:

"Mod reach posted a while back that the GP could be kept on RS3

The way he was explaining it, it would be like:

Player RS3 buys bond
Player RS3 sells bond on GE
Player OSRS buys a bond for OSRS gp from an NPC
Player RS3 gets the RS3 GP, Player OSRS GP is removed from the game in exchange for an untradable bond"

If it were to be implemented from polls I think this would be an excellent solution and help stop inflation within 07. With the amount of gold in RS3 I doubt it would make a difference to their economy. I do feel though that Jagex are slightly out of tune with the majority of the 07 player base when considering this idea. I would be very surprised if it got 75% in a poll.

I support bonds however.. I can see the community having mixed feelings about how it works and negative to the feedback of its cost and effect.
Sergio - One of the most, mobile, knowledgeable Runescape Wiki that you could ever need, however, spends most of his time bankstanding until he's needed... like a dusty old encyclopedia in your bookshelf.

I play oldschool on my pure strictly because I enjoy both aspects of the game, from what I have seen; bots do not want to return to rs3. People seem to think they have seen bots, but they do not understand which bot is more detrimental. The rwt bot is by far more detrimental because they will ruin the economy with the intention of personal gain.

Everytime I turn my private chat on, I am spammed with advertisements for oldschool gold. I am sure, many of you are also spammed by such none-sense. People are over looking the fact what these bonds actually did, they created a barrier between rwt'ers. This barrier will not directly effect the rwt'ers, but their profits will start to diminish over time since their is a slightly more costly and safer alternative.

I have never bought bonds with real life money, but jagex seems to be right when they said originally that many people do purchase gp in game with irl money. I never thought it was true, till recently. Thousands of bonds enter the game everyday, which is crazy.

Just implement an npc in the game that is always existing (do not create some yelps like npc so it can just be bashed), and make it sell bonds. The amount of stock said npc has will be determined by the amount of players purchasing bonds. So this will create a huge money sink, while at the sametime fixate the price.

Like I said, I have never purchased bonds with real life money, but I do see the benefits in having them in the game. There is this notion going around that it si going to be directly detrimental to the game because more people will be purchasing these bonds with real life money. That is false, I only purchased bonds with in game money and purchased myself gold membership.

I love being able not to spend real life money, since some players have so much in game money, why not be able to spend it on continuing to play the game? No harm done.
