We don't want exactly statuettes, but the idea of them is what's closest to a lot of pker's heads. I'm sure we can come up with a reward system that does not hurt the economy if mods are willing to work with us, but apparently they've ignored all our feedback.
It's good to hear that at least some of you are sensible, but any sort of system that creates GP from no where is bad to me, sorry. I like the idea of dropping actual supplies, that seems like the middle ground between what PKers want and what the rest of the community wants (No additional incentives), but after suggesting that to multiple PKers, all they do is come up with some ridiculous insult and state that 'statuettes are NEEDED' and that 'PKers are what make the game thrive' (Not true, they're the smallest section of the playerbase according to the poll last year).

We have plenty of sensible minds in the PvP community that know what sort of reactions updates would have, which is why we'd much rather a completed Bounty Hunter be polled rather than this + a promise to implement unknown rewards in the future. I agree with your fear but it's directed at the wrong people. It's not the fault of pkers that they're trying to suggest some sort of familiar reward, but rather Jagex's for their inability to mention what type of reward they'd like to implement and leaving it for us to create assumptions like we are now.
I dunno, I'd still consider it the fault of the PKers as numerous people have suggested the supplies being dropped instead of statuettes thing, but as I said, PKers throw it back in your face and are set in their ways, refusing to budge from statuettes, even when you remind them that if they keep lobbying for statuettes, they're gonna end up with nothing.
