Bh craters for sure, this generates so much action whereas the wilderness is never getting active (especially single) due to the fact it's too big for the amount of players OSRS currently has.

Implanting BH without the Craters would be a very big mistake.


There will be a huge comeback of players & teams if this is getting through, they all left due to the lack of action, because there is zero at this point.

What did you enjoy about Bounty Hunter?

I enjoyed the unique PvP experience it provided. The wilderness and PvP worlds are technically the same thing, while BH craters was something different. Even though it was single combat, you never knew if someone had you as a target and could PJ you, or if you had a target and had the chance to PJ him. The target tele was also pretty good, because it gave you easy acces to your target, but at the risk of teleporting to a clan in the middle.
The fact that the area isn't that big and only available on certain worlds helped group people together and make it active.
The penalties also made it extremely thrilling.

I almost forgot the best thing. Untradeables are lost upon death! :D


The potential impact of Bounty Hunter

Yes it will split the PvP community in three, but it will also add more people to that community. I for example, will be an addition to that.


How should we add it to the game?

Have the lobby area in a cave somewhere, and the craters still underground, but just like they were in 07/08.
Could possibly add another crater so the level gaps wouldn't be so huge. (4 entrances)
Concider making the penalties a bit shorter. 90 seconds for example.


The popularity of the BH worlds was pretty much because of the loots and rewards, which screwed up the whole economy for years.
Craters are the only viable option. Anything else will be too similar to the wilderness and PvP worlds.

I sort of feel like all these people ecstatic about bounty hunter being reintroduced have not actually been around for bounty hunter in the all the various ways it was manifested. If you actually were around, I don't think you would have anything to look back on positively.

Multi Crater BH was the first type of BH minigame introduced after Jagex removed free trade and full loot wilderness PvP. This was extremely unpopular since it was pretty much dominated by clans, who even themselves preferred wilderness to the new BH system. So it's obvious this was a failure. Not to mention those who were not aligned with organized clans would often have to join open CC's just to PK, and would often have to deal with higher levels in their own CC turning on them.

Single BH was the next installment. It should be common knowledge that single BH was not the best place for solo PKers either. If you were fighting someone and your target came to you, they could pile you. This is especially bad if you had just gotten a rogue kill, and was confined in the crater because of the timer. Another reason why this was bad for the solo PKer was because of teams. Bounty hunter teams would often DD in the center of the crater and wait for their solo PKer targets to teleport to them, and pile them. About 1/2 the times you would teleport, you would teleport to a clan DD. It's also worth mentioning that when PvP worlds were released, a lot of hybrid and edge-style PKers left to go PK in those instead, even though it was worse loot*

The later BH worlds also had of target luring, where clans would hide/EP in multi, and wait for targets to come to pile. Not to mention the 76k system was very easily manipulable. Often times targets wouldn't fight you unless they could try to scam you, or stake you with DDS. It benefited the manipulators and not the PKers.

I've been in many well known PK clans (RoT,VH,HF, etc) over the years, and have tons of PK experience. Trust me on this, vote no to any BH.

If there really is to come a Bounty Hunter, or a variation thereof.
How about instead of a Crater ( that really is a horrible eyesore and get-in-the-way ), how about an area similar to RS3's Gamer's Grotto/Forinthry Dungeon?

Only takes up a 3×3 area in the Wilderness and gives room for future updates, which will come eventually, as we all know ( unaware, but come on; We know this'll be expanded on )


Now for a rant from a F2P PKer's view...
I did not like BH in any form.
It was too open and in my opinion not hospitable to Clan Wars of any form, it was too easy for Clan and/or Team PKing and it was a bloodbath in a negative not-funny nor amusing way for Solo PKers. And that's back when there were some quality Solo PKers, lol. ( Yes, I'm hinting at you scrubs that "PK" non-riskers in 20- wild without TB's )
BH was simply an alternative for RWT and a bad excuse for PvP content when there was a lack of it.

Well I do not pvp or pk that much but from what I can alot of people do not like crater and non-pkers do not want to get involved in the targeting system. So, I purpose that we do the whole wilderness but, instead of having it include everyone in the system. You can have a button in option or on your combat tab that will enable you into the bh'er system. And to stop people from abusing the button to get rid of bad targets, if you are targeted or vice versa you will either have to complete the target, log, or leave wildy to turn off the button. Also with the button on you have a chance to get a stattuete or wildy weapons/armor like vesta etc.when you kill targets. This will give pkers more of a reason to have the bounty hunter button on as a extra reward.
Oh and also to prevent people from abusing the stattuete drops and wildy stuff. You cannot get specials drops mentioned before if you fight the same person over and over. This will prevent friends from doing this on low populated worlds.

Don't put the BH crater in the wilderness where it used to be. It took out a massive chunk of space in the wilderness.

If people demand the craters back, put it on an island on the east side of the wilderness or something like that.

A couple posts up someone suggested adding in something like a gamers grotto area for BH. So it doesn't take up a massive chunk of wildy.

It would be a good spot to put it in sort of where the FOG crater was in the wilderness. It only takes up a very small area.

First of all..

I really loved the mechanism of the random artifact loots, which would be great to see in-game.
I also loved the fact...Call it either offensive or not..It'll be probably moderated.

But I honestly enjoyed the way that there were no losers all-the-way with Fire Cape, Torso, Full Void set, and other un-tradeable stuff, as you had a 100% chance of losing them on death..


Means..Only the top players would wear such stuff in Wildy...Not like these days..
"Oh no, I've died with Fire cape, and torso!..No problem Use Glory, Teleport to Edge and loot it back up...or even better..Make Edge as Hometown.."Pathetic...

definitely the old craters for one thing to be added liked the area the targeting systems the skulls and the environment although took to long to get another target also liked it because if you killed someone not ur target for almost everything they had you hada pickup penalty a drawback to losing all items in game which is cool. if there was a multi attack zone in craters somewhere that would be cool too. bounty hunter worlds i liked that due to the chance of extra loot from targeted players but that was odd due to generating random non-existant loot so no more of generating non-existant loot but these things need to be set in place to get people interested in pking in different forms because some people may like one thing some people may like another so different forms to bring people in different areas to hopefully either keep them there pking and/or bring them pking in other areas too. i like the incentive the target system gives to give people more of a goal to pk as well. i would like to see a free for all crater where anyone and anyone cmb lvl can go to along with other craters and with old rules still applying pickup penalty etc with possible multi/single attack areas in there. i vote yes on bh worlds too but without pickup penalty and with faster targeting as well as in craters but in bh worlds any cmb lvl can attack each other all across the rs world but with main spots for bounty hunter to keep it focused in certain areas but a drawback to higher players swamping lower lvls is they can keep three items not skulled and four protect item and if someone attacks someone out of their lvl rng lower then them unless attacked first then there will be a bounty on that player for that player to be killed and possibly other things to be added such as people being able to put up bounties of items/gold or w/e on other players in craters and in bh worlds for the player to be killed and if you kill that player go pick up bounty but if someoneelse does too then a race.
