Nothing that hasn't already been implemented into the game from these past few years should not make its way into this game. Players tried to change the game with ideas before and we ended up with a game that dropped dramatically in players called Evolution of Combat. Changing this game to much by adding new content might make some stay but it will not be Old School Runescape.

This is what needs to come back into this game to stay alive and be successful.

1. Clan Wars- A free for all portal and a clan portal (both in which are safe there will be no dangerous that is what the wilderness is for)

2. Fist of Guthix- One of my favorite mini games where you got unlimited runes and could practice your switches and cast your favorite spells without wasting money and still earning rewards for putting in time.

3. PENGUINS - I can't stress this enough ! I miss searching for penguins when they reset tuesday at 7:00 pm eastern time. It not only benefits players with money and experience rewards but it also becomes community based where players initially work together.

4. Quests - All the quests prior to EOC can slowly keep coming out in the order they were released so future quest capers can continue to have something to do but at the same time your not drastically changing the game with new items or rewards.

5. Stealing Creation - Most of you aren't going to agree with this but lets face it your putting the time in for the game and taking time away from training. So your not getting any better experience. All it is doing is speeding up your experience at that given time your training. If you were to take the time away for playing and train it'd be the same. You just need to change up from time to time instead of skilling repetitively.

.......continued

6. How I feel about Dungeoneering and Summoning. Both should be replaced back into the game. Although Dungeoneering should become a mini game but keep the same rewards and maybe possibly add new rewards like the charm collector. Summoning is perfect the way it is. Pets and all and who knows maybe create some new pets?

7. Skilling - My favorite thing to look forward to when mining and fishing was world 89 and 88 going to the deposits and fishing rock tails. It gave something for high level miners to do along with high level fishers and the community needed rock tails for quests and player killing.

8. Player Owned Ports- Although this may be way to early to implement into the game I really like player owned ports and I feel like it was a great addition to the game. I like how they didn't make it a skill it stayed a mini game. The mini game was very beneficial it released new food, great level 80 armour for defense. Although it may be early definitely consider putting this back into the game.

9. Troll Invasion- Another importantly monthly activity that helps players earn experience in those hard to earn experienced skills. The hard mode for players that are more experienced and an easy mode. Both at the end giving experience rewarded to which ever you choose?

10. Urns- I liked having skilling urns because to charge them you needed a certain level and it gave other players a goal.

11. Flasks- These should come out when harder bosses are released back into the game like nex etc etc

There is a lot more I'd like implemented back into Oldschool Runescape. If you can take away evolution of combat, The squeal of fortune, Cosmetic items constantly being released into the game, no more buying items for in game use, and leave the hp system the same and the hits the same I truly believe so many players would play this game again. Continue making new bosses and quests and new items but keep Oldschool the way it was before you changed it.

would rather not see player made content, i'm down for minor tweaks and fixes and usability updates from players but not just random content, like do we really need this? I think the game just got 2 pretty big updates and they still need more time to settle into the game. (gwd and nmz)

So we have just implemented GWD in OSRS...

this is a great update, but it limits a lot of people from doing the minigame (pures, skillers, low level mains) So I was thinking about maybe adding a new boss that is something nearly any person could try.

Concept

The monster would need a 3-5 man party each trip (to make it never to be solo'd and bossing is always funner in teams) And the monsters level and difficulty will be variable (Depending on your teams average combat) The difficulty would be set to easy (>25 combat), medium (26-70 combat) and hard (71+ combat). Obviously the higher level the monster, the better chance it would be for a better drop.

The boss would have 2 different stages that aren't always the same each trip. It may use magic/range, melee/magic, melee range or the other way around. The order is completely random.

Drops:

This boss wouldn't bring any new custom items into the game, but it would have 100% drops of:
Big Bones
an x amount dosage potion that was the phase of the last kill.
Example: If you were to kill the boss on the last phase and it was using melee you'd get a radom dosage potion of attack, defence or strength. (Hard mode drops super's)
It would also have the possiblity of dropping level 1-3 clue scrolls, depending on the difficulty of the boss.

On each kill, you and your team would gain points to spend on XP, at a shop outside the entrance to the dungeon.

You would get 15 points for most damage taken
You would get 25 points for most damage dealt
You would get 5 points for least damage dealt
you would get 1 point for dying
you would get 10 points for Most Range Damage dealt
you would get 10 points for Most melee Damage dealt
you would get 10 points for Most magic Damage dealt

Many new perks could be added later on.

Rewards

Because who doesn't like rewards!

This will be a safe boss/minigame so you would not lose your most valuable items that you are most close to. The points earned each kill will be able to be spent on experience to get further up in the game! and the points to xp ration would be 1:1 so every point you get would be 1xp. This could be used on any combat stat of your choice. (xp to point ratio could be changed at any time)

Location:

You could find this boss in a dungeon behind lumbridge castle and you would need a plank to get there (to get over traps) otherwise you would be dealt rapid 3's and 4's and poisoned.

The Boss would be called the tormented druid, it would be based off a chaos druid which has lost all signs of good in it's body creating a spell for peace, but has turned himself into pure evil, the size of the monster would be 2 times the size of a player (height and width) and without protection prayers would hit the player pretty hard)

You would not be able to enter any other mode if your combat level was higher than the maximum level range of the difficulty.

I hope that gives you some ideas! :)

Idea 3

The concept:

Basically slayer but with skills, you get an assignment from any skill master, except slayer/combat ones.
You could set which mode you would like the task to be set these modes would be:

Treasure hunter
- Your tasks would be gp centric & you would be assigned the more profitable things
to complete for your task.

Knowledge seeker
- Your tasks would be xp based & would give you assignments that would be the best xp
methods for each skill.

You can get assignments for any skill except combats/slayer, these would only assign things
you have unlocked, so no ape atoll course for skillers/pures etc.
You would not lose or gain any materials used or gained for these tasks.

Example assignments:

Treasure hunter:
Fish 250 lobsters.
Cut 200 yew logs.
Light 12 torches in morytania.

Knowledge seeker:
Hunt 300 red chins.
Catch 300 of the barbarian fish.
Cut 150 emeralds.

There would be assignments for each skill at all levels.

Rewards/the point?

Each task (harder/higher would give more than lower/easier) would be given a rating,
there could even be a speed (how long did it take?) factor to boost points for those
who put in more effort. This rating would be translated into points awarded for each task
completed.

Points shop:

100 - Herb/runes/secondaries pack
150 - Xp lamp (only usable on non cb & not slay) These would be balanced so as not to be op.
---
The higher reward slots could be reserved for such things as:
imbue d axe to be renamed the dragons inferno (could be an orange w/ black handle d axe) which
would have the ability of the adze (wont be a pick tho)
a potion flask that can carry 6 doses (up to 3 of these)
a gem bag
herbicide
really any of the skill features people may want could be added to this as rewards

Fantastic idea, I like this.
Isn't it strange that so many players blindly apply to clans, without ever wondering why there are openings in that clan?
