Question: Should we add an extended, members-only area to the Mining Guild? This new area would include 8 iron rocks, 20 coal rocks, 10 mithril rocks, 8 adamantite rocks, 1 runite rock, 2 runite golems and a bank. All rocks within this area would respawn twice as fast as rocks elsewhere in Old School, and a +4 Mining boost would be given to any player within this area.

ANSWER: No, as a person who has played old school since 2005 on and off, I can tell you that mining is simply WAY to easy as compared to when I first began in 05. Runite ore is suppose to be a revered, rare rock, that took some guts, and glory to retrieve. Now you want to make it as easy as going to the mining guild with half respawn time? Word of warning, making this version of the game EASIER is not better for players like myself, who long for the difficulty that this genre of games used to call for.

Question: If the extended Mining Guild area is added, should mining gloves, as described in the recent developer blog, be available as a reward? [Image]

ANSWER: I'd say NO. The motherlode mine is quite enough imo, in terms of giving us an easier time with mining.

Question: Should we add Quartz as a new material within the Mining Guild? It will require 92 Mining and can be used to fletch new Arrows, Bolts, and Javelins. [Image]

ANSWER: I don't see why not.

One of the best blogs I've seen in a while from you guys. Meaningful updates that bring in or develop existing content in a balanced way.

It's good to see mining and fishing getting some love too. Two classic skills of Runescape which have been neglected since OSRS began, with the likes of Zulrah (pre-nerf) rendering them useless.

Voting no to mage void buff.

1. Ancestral is already crashing and providing an alternative that makes it nearly as powerful for much less wealth is no good. Also, you'd need far less switches.

2. Wasn't void ranged JUST NERFED? If anything void ranged had more of a reason to be powerful because armadyl was better DPS almost everywhere in PVM as well as the extra defensive stats being very helpful even in places where void ranged was more powerful.

I suggest buffing the XP rates of quartz and the new fishing method as they dont seem worthwhile compared to other training methods. Atleast 50k per hour for both or it will be dead content. Also the damage bonus of the new broad bolts should be increased above runite to make it worthwhile to use and perhaps only be usable outside of pvp.

Also remove the trawler outfit requirement since it is not related to the fishing guild. If you go through with it then you should also add prospector outfit requirement to the new mining guild IMO.

Void Knight melee set needs an elite bonus as well and void knight mace needs to be buffed too. Void boots that can substitute for gloves should be added as well since void knight mage will be dead content for high lvl players because of the zenyte bracelet.

Should a Make-All option be offered alongside every Make-X option in Old School?

ANSWER: I believe that is making things a bit to easy and less engaging. I honestly would not be super upset, as compared to mining and fishing guild updates, if this went through. I don't see it as a paramount decision that will really affect much either way.

Question: Should minnow fishing be added as an expansion to the Fishing Guild? Minnow fishing is a more click-intensive fishing method, with rapidly moving fishing spots and other distractions. Accessing the minnow fishing platform would require level 82 Fishing, completion of Fishing Contest and a full Angler's Outfit. Minnows can be exchanged for sharks by talking to the Fisherman found on the fishing platform. It would provide an average of 24,750 XP per hour at level 99, as well as an average of 425k GP per hour at level 99.

ANSWER: I don't think sharks should be able to collected any other way than they are now. So short answer, no.

Question: Should an invisible +7 Fishing boost be applied within the Fishing Guild? This would stack with other stats boosts, such as the Dragon Harpoon.

ANSWER: If this is done, then the dev team will be required to accommodate the remaining skill guilds with a "boost" as well. It won't be balanced at all if only the fishing guild were to have a boost, or make sense for that matter.

I think I misunderstood on the make all section but is the quantity option going to be remembered? For example: Lets say you are cutting gems and you bank for another load, can you just click the option to begin cutting or do you need to hit make all then cut every time? Overall,I like it, good work.

Edit: Alot of people are saying the make all will make the game easier but most of us just use mouse keys to do this as it is. And I just came back 3 months ago and apparently missed the gold rush of being able to practically bot with ahk scripts.

25K XP/h for both mining and fishing? Are you stupid, Make it 55K xp/h fishing and 50K xp/h mining. Who cares about those 0.1% 'efficient' nerds, they are losers - and the methodes they use are litterally double the amounts I gave. Give us some proper AFK mining methode allready, its 2017 FFS

To be honest, this quartz stuff just seems like dead content to me. With a 92 mining requirement, it is to be expected that the quartz will be somewhat expensive.

The bolts have a 65 slayer requirement and are the same exact as runite bolts in terms of strength. Who would in their right mind buy this bolt that will surely be more expensive than a runite bolt if you can't even enchant it?

The arrows only have +6 more strength...which is barely a +1 in max damage dealt

Lastly, 95% of people who use Ballistas will always use it for pking purposes. Why would they want to use a quartz jav. if it has 15 less ranged strength and (again) doesn't even have an enchantment?

What I'm trying to get through here is that the only way to make this equipment viable is for you to give all (at least the bolts) the equipment some sort of enchantment effect. There is no way this will pass the poll because there is no motive behind using this stuff.
