Telling your homo because you deny it is like telling a frog lives in your tummy if you deny it.

While this post may seem provoking, which it must be to many, i do emphasize your own reaction to this and say; Hello!

OP: I think i missed news for free member weekend, unless there was none until it was live? I remember the news for this came the day it was actived... For future redo, have info well in advance because many would likely inform their friends and so on that may otherwise miss this, and you missing propable future customer!

Jagex staff,
Please refrain from adding politically correct content to the game as you are now in my eyes and many others, a contributor to the satanic, pedophilia agenda that the left wing corporations push onto the public. You clearly knew that this would have some backfire in the community, don't sacrifice a certain community over the other, just avoid making that decision in the first place. Fools.

Hey Ash

Can you remove the pesky vampires that wanders near Haunted Woods farm patches? They aggro on anyone and its really annoying.

P.S
Check out my QoL Suggestion thread =)

This has already been polled previously and it failed :(

So you guys will poll a bug where a vampire will walk out of it's intented area.

But don't poll adding an event that 1. Many people dont care about, nor did anyone ask you to spend developer time on. and 2 alot of people will have different points of views then you and don't wanna see that s@#t in game or shoved in their face every team I kill them in the wild.

You guys contradict yourselfs so often it's funny af. Pce

It's exactly because of the reactions we've seen at W Fally that a "pride" themed event was necessary in the first place.

That's circular logic - the event caused more racism and homophobia because it was unpolled, following an already controversial unpolled update, which also resulted in the same mod behind this update giving up on content they were working on.

And like you said, the event was just silly rainbows placed here and there. If jagex had discussed the update openly earlier, they could have avoided so much blowback.

being gay = okay. (But that doesn't even matter because the event doesn't even mention it!)
pushing through a potentially political event without a poll = not okay

If this had been polled, we would have had more details, and the community would have known not to freak out over something so little.

Jagex handled this poorly. The community handled it poorly as well. To say that because the community handled it poorly the event was necessary, completely disregards the needs of the community and how the community wants content to be polled.
Don't forget – RuneScape members get TWO free spins a day instead of the usual one!

Why should Jagex take the blame for how immaturely and childish the community reacted? It's a leap in logic to say that announcing the event "caused" racism and homophobia -- especially the racism bit.

Jagex clearly thought our community was more mature than it actually is and thought we wouldn't resort to acting like morons.

"Concerned" players would have simply asked for more information about the event -- not starting crying and doing offensive things in-game, on the forums, and on reddit.

I don't see why people are so up in arms about this event? How does being gay affect anyone else? Let people do what they wanna do, after all it's not harming anyone... It's quite simple really, if you don't want to do the event, don't do it.

Since when did our community turn so toxic? :/

P.S. To the Jmods - the majority of us appreciate the time and effort you guys put into this game, don't let the toxic part of the community make you feel less appreciated

It's always been this toxic. Nothing new, honestly.

You're welcome to continue voicing your opinions, but please refrain from name-calling.

We'll be fielding questions about the event on tonight's Q&A stream.

So, is there ever going to be the option to block people on the forums? Or should those who don't wish to see toxic BS (And even more so, since the rule changes) just continue to avoid them?

In 'fairness' those 'concerned' players were rapidly shut down on reddit regardless of how maturely they posted, and jagex seldom posts in the RSOF so asking "for more information about the event" couldn't have, realistically, happened anywhere.

Perhaps the community wouldn't have responded in such an immature manner, had jagex actually been willing to discuss it.. openly.. and honestly.. even in their own official forums..
