Balance seems missing, clearly near on impossible to do for a minute bonus on the original fire cape.

Going to be impossible for those of us without the endless cash stacks for all the max gear setups.

It is day one, so of course it is going to be very difficult while people learn and perfect their strategies. It will get a bit easier when these things are figured out, but even then it will still be difficult because that is what we said it would be; the most difficult PvM encounter in the game.

This is generally the case with any new PvM content that is released. It is incredibly difficult on day one, and then as time passes it gets easier as new strategies are developed and perfected.

Inferno looks great from what I can see. I love the aspect of keeping the pillars alive and the fight itself looks extremely tough. The city also looks great. It actually feels like a city with so many npc's in it.

Thieving looks like something id grind to do and a worthwhile method of 90-99. Nice work

Fishing is a little underwhelming. Sub 30k xp/h with low gp/h and no food for the ironman accounts. Nice n afk though I guess and no need to go to the bank. Probs worth sticking to monkfish honestly :(

Obsidian armor I'm not happy with how you made it accessible to anyone who had tokkul, it basically set the price of it right from the get go and made the idea of getting it as a drop quite pointless. As for the stats the plate is worse than its level 40 counterpart the fighter torso. Obsidian helm is pointless due to the nietiznot helm. The legs would be good except for the fact that a single strength bonus wont effect the max hit of many situations.

great update! cant wait to have a go in the inferno this evening. one bit of constructive criticism I have is the fishing is a little underwhelming. the xp and gp are both much less than monks as well as more effort. the idea is good though and the design on the inferno is amazing!

Thanks for the great update! Looking even more forward to leveling up and eventually getting my first fire cape and eventually unlocking lol this sweet new content. :)

It boggles my mind the few posts earlier "everyone has high level gear and I don't so that's unfair" "I can't kill Jad so I can't access new content so that's unfair" blah blah Hazelmere text etc etc. Come on. That sounds like people who get mad for not getting a participation trophy because you feel bad that you don't measure up to someone else. Level up your account. Practice until you get it. It's really not that hard. This instant gratification attitude is completely counter to the whole point of basically any MMO. What fun is the game if you don't put in time to build your chacaracter and struggle a little? What good is the payoff if you didn't have to level up or grind to get it? I'm sorry if I sound insensitive but I just can't understand it. People that have high level gear put in the time and earned it, that's why they can do HIGH LEVEL CONTENT right away. If you didn't, and your character needs levels or items to do it, you just got a new incentive to work for, and thus more reason to put time into the game. If that upsets you, you're probably playing the wrong game.

Nice to see most of the crybabies from the last two weeks have retreated to their caves. Thanks for your work Jagex and for sticking with the hard decisions. I for one welcome the balances and new challenges.

Happy to buff them should we feel it needs it; we'll see over the course of the week.

I get what you're saying and I would never suggest stop adding music to the game. Just the past 6 months two high tier updates came around involving raids and now inferno. Therefor music cape also becomes something of a high tier end game.

I'm okay with grinding for it since I love the cape fashion wise and i'd like to unlock all emotes, however the time spend unlocking it now doesn't add up to the benefits given to the cape. Therefor if you increase the difficulty to unlock it maybe also increase the rewards gained by it?

I know it's not gonna change it just bugs me a bit. Furdermore the update is great and I'm looking forwards to using it's content

Not sure if it's intentional or not but the fishing spot seems to disappear sometimes when it moves, assuming it moves to somewhere else but it's a bit silly that there can be 2 spawns in the southern corner and both of them can move to another location.

People were taking 2 hours per raid on release day in max gear also and now it's possible to do 30 minute raids in relatively cheap gear, it will be fine once it has been figured out!

edit: oops, @davis_123
