i thought the oldschool team understood the reason we play oldschool is because jagex forcing what it wants on us has fucked us over before.
making thousands of accounts/hours/hundreds of mills useless and saying that my account was not important to you, and is not as important as other players is so disrespectful. you should have proposed the problems and let us suggest solutions/comprimises if you couldnt come with anything other than a blanket nerf.

I guess this was more of a footnote in the update, but jagex also mentioned they have recognized the general uselessness of the void mage set, and indicated some sort of willingness to buff it.

There's already options out there for chances of rune savings, and % damage boosts... so to avoid obsoleting any content, a buff might need to find a different niche. A few possibilities:

How about something that boosts autocast speed for spells (not including trident)? That would give mage void a niche against low-defense monsters - less accuracy + higher speed = better damage output against weak monsters, balanced by the greater cost in runes consumed per hour. I like this one, because 1) the lack of accuracy protects existing equipment, 2) the benefits come with a built-in cost

A different idea: How about increasing the effects of curses and snares (and the secondary affects of ancients) in PVM combat while the void set is worn? That might make snares and curses actually useful, and add some variety to magic combat. This would be more focused on improving the versatility and survivability in magical combat (at the cost of accuracy) and would play well into the "balance" theme of guthix and void equipment

Also, has any thought been given to buffing the void mace? At some point in rs2 it was given a +10% damage buff when autocasting claws of guthix, perhaps something similar would be nice in osrs? As of now there is no compelling reason to use it.

Well it seems that just about everyone used the void ranged set, depended on the void ranged set, didn't use anything else, and thinks that their account is now completely ruined and the game is unplayable because the void ranged set's damage got nerfed by 8-10%. And not all of them are void ranged pures either. Kind of proves that the nerf was necessary, doesn't it?

I agree with it all, sure i didnt get my chance to make off like a bandit from zulrah on my ironman, but im more than happy with how you guys (jagex) is doing such a good job with this game! please keep 07 around long as possible and I will be here! great work, a big thank you, and keep it up!

Fine then. Eat your sharks raw. Drink your water-filled vials for no boost whatsoever. Disregard that almost no monsters drop enough ammo/runes for more than a few shots/casts of higher level stuff.

Think before you speak, because right now you're just speaking gibberish. Skillers are necessary for RuneScape's economy.

Also, PKing is literally cancer and they either need to rework the death mechanics for it in BOTH games, or they need to remove item loss in PVP entirely. It's an archaic system that rewards griefing and feeds bullies into messing with people who DON'T WANT TO PK. Seriously, it's such a friggin' outdated system and something will have to give eventually.

Zulrah is a joke apparently, according to some friends of mine on Old School. Not worth killing if you're not one for PVM - and not everyone is into it! Surprise surprise - different people like different things! What a crazy thought, huh?
