Oh god. Do not add a GE. It totally killed the game... there was no use for the trade window once GE came out... no player interaction... no difficulty... it was AWFUL

I will quit and my decade or longer of playing this game will finally end :\

I have played runescape since 2005. Never in my entire career of playing this game, until now, have I realized how important time management is on this game. I give my full support to any idea or solution that will decrease the amount of time that I have to put into buying and selling my drops/supplies. As it stands now, slayer, my favorite skill of all time, is not even worth my time because I have to stand around for hours trying to sell my loot, so that I can buy back my supplies to continue slaying. And for all you people that don't want this update, quit whining on the forums and just vote no when the poll comes out. You are not going to change anyone's mind with your silly illogical and passion filled arguments. The people who feel one way or the other on this topic are not gonna change their minds, so in reality, you are just wasting your time if you do not have anything positive to add about how this update can be presented. Limit your XP waste people.....That's all I gotta say.

So you want automated trading to exist and support the idea of offline trading which in the long term, will make buyable 99s a ease so long as you have money.

Yup.

Just a thought, if they are wasting their time with their comments, aren't you wasting yours as well?? This thread is meant for the pros and cons to be presented. Not for us to bash each other about what we think is right or wrong. If you hate standing around waiting to buy slayer items then post your item on the forums and while you are waiting for it to sell go kill some abby spectres for herbs and make your own pots, that is a much simpler solution than making jagex work for months to create a method for people to be even more lazy on a game that they are already sit down to play anyway. I total understand where you are coming from about time management, but how you manage your time is up to you as a player. Time management is what separates the truly skilled from the not so skilled. Would you really jagex work on "fixing" this trading problem instead of making new monsters with new loot for you to slay?

If you say so. You're supporting the demise of our last-ditch effort of preserving something wonderful from our childhoods...

We are playing this 2007 version of the game, afterall. Not the one with a GE

I propose that instead of an auction house they should have in game forums. Let me explain before you say there are already forums or whatever negative comments you have. Let's be honest, barely anyone uses the forums. Well what if instead of an "auction house" they came up with an in game version of the forums, which yes it essentially is the same thing if you think about it, but instead of coming up with all these methods or rules it will be kept plain and simple. You post what you are buying or selling and people can search the database for those items. They must contact you in order to get your items, just like you are on the forums. There could even be comments implemented on the in game forums so that people could leave messages for people offline as well. I believe that this would be a much better solution. You shouldn't be able to go to sleep and wake up rich because your items sold end of story.

I completely disagree with the 'auction house' idea.
I think they should just bring back the normal grand exchange back because if you immediately need an item and the person who is selling it isn't online to confirm it, you would have to wait till that person gets online but as for the grand exchange, it would be bought instantly.

Essentially an in-game version of Zy Exchange, but one that doesn't go overboard with offline trading or eliminate any need for face-to-face interaction.

Support. People depended on the forums for trade coming back as far as 2003-2004.
